I thought i'd start a group for Dee-Nee on Yahoo Salary Cap Football since I doubt we'd ever get everybody together to have a draft.  You get $100 to make a team and there are some bargains out there if you look.  You can really put together a pretty good team.  Scoring is yahoo default.

If anyone wants to do it league# is 6813 and password is deenee.

I guess this is last call given that the season starts tomorrow.  Last time I checked it was just me and Ultimate7.

If you're into fantasy football give it a shot, takes 5-10 min to set up a team.  It's my first experience with anything other than a draft but i didn't think it was too bad.

I'm in, with "Unexplained Bacon".  I picked several players from my primary fantasy team, because I want to minimize conflicting rooting interests.  We'll see how it goes...

Who's "Team Slayer"?

The Ejaculating Carrots.

How come I can't see anyone's roster?

I'm guessing they won't let you view other rosters until rosters are locked for the week.

Ah ha.  Okay, another dumb question.  Do we keep our same team for the whole year or is it different every week?  I realize I can buy and sell like Valentine and Winthorp, but does the whole roster have to be overhauled?

I'm pretty sure you can keep whoever you want and just make any necessary small changes you want.

What I'm trying to figure out is if values go up and down throughout the year with performance and if your players go up do you then get more than $100.

I do think the values move depending on performances.

I can't tell how scoring works.

I'll join after the Monday night game.  Didn't see this thread until right now.  Actually, I saw it but didn't read it.

Anyhow, while I've never doen the yahoo league the scoring typically works like the following.

You get a certain amount of money to field a team.  Every week the value of the players that did well go up and if the player did poorly it goes down.  So the theory of buy low sell high applies.

If you draft "x" player at $1 and at week 4 they are worth $10, then you should be able to sell that player having an extra $9 to spend on your team.

However if you buy a player for $10 and they suck, so at week 4 they are only worth $3, you could sell them but then you have 7 less dollars to play with.

It is actually pretty fun.  I'll have an entire week to make up.  Let's see if I can do it!  I think I can.  :-)

So I guess we never get to see anyone else's roster?  Or could you see them last night after the game started?
