Maybe its been done a lot, but haven't ever been able to come close since I have done.
Not that I don't believe you but that is impossible!
Was this against a human or computer opponent? The only way I can see it happening would be in straight-pitch against another person, and even then you'd have to avoid fastballs and change-ups and keep at-bats to 2 or fewer pitches. You'd also have to keep scoring low, which is hard to do in straight-pitch.
I recall someone mentioning that each pitch reduces the pitcher's stamina by 1 (2 for fastballs/sinkers). If it takes until he hits 0 before his velocity drops (I'm thinking it might be before then, though), with Clemens' 44 stamina, you'd have 43 pitches to get 18 outs, all without changing speeds. The computer fouls off enough balls, even at regular speed, that it'd be about impossible, and it would probably be even harder playing curve, because you usually have to throw more pitches.
I have been able to do that a bunch of times playing curve pitch, with either Clemens or Ryan. It was always against my roommate and he was probably St. Louis or Houston during those games. Against those teams I usually just throw every pitch over the plate until they get runners on. We like to conserve stamina because complete games (and especially complete game shutouts) are a big source of bragging rights. So when Rocket is up against St. Louis there is no need to throw fastballs, changeups, or pitches off the plate. Unless of course JC is batting.
I know ive seen him hit 100 in the 7th before. so has Ryan. I know this becausei was amazed when i saw it. But that doesnt matter because Juan Berenguer (Jake Taylor) as we know him has the 103 mph gas that blows them all out of the water.

Exactly how does saving/loading state affect whether or not Clemens can hit 101 late in the game ... unless FCEU blows (which is entirely possible) pitcher stamina should be restored intact ...

Hey, Briznock, any particular reason you referred to Juan Berenguer as "Jake Taylor"? I assume you were trying to make a "Major League" reference, but as we all know, Jake Taylor was the aging catcher. I think you meant "Rick Vaughn", AKA "Wild Thing".
Juan Berenguer , Tom Berringer. Sounds similar.
vgp is correct. when juan is in the game it pretty much says berenger on the list. that is how i see it anyway. Plus Major League is a great movie that needed to be incorporated into RBI at some point.
Okay, I get it now. I agree, Major League-RBI integration is not what it could be. Perhaps we need a thread dedicated to deciding which RBI player best matches which Major League character... I actually like the Wild Thing-Berenguer connection, although maybe Ryan or Rocket would be better. It's gotta be someone with a wicked fastball.
