- The Twins said Friday that Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson called them on Oct. 26 to say he's interested in buying the team.
"I told him the team was not for sale," said Jerry Bell, president of Twins Sports Inc., the Carl Pohlad company that owns the Twins.
When word of the call ultimately spread Friday, the Twins said they worried that Minnesotans might think the Jackson offer was a veiled threat by the Twins to move if they don't get a new ballpark
He should call the Royals.
