Post by: dvldog on 12/01/03, 06:04:46 PM
A lot of these were really close, but I think it's about time to start calling some of the races - not all of them, but some of those which have been up for a while.... sorry if you didn't get a chance to vote.

Some results needed to be explained, but I will take them out soon to keep it from looking messy.

I would break down OFs by position in the RBI manual, for consistency's sake.  The manual may be off at a couple OF positions, but then again there aren't really positions in RBI anyway...

I'd go righty and lefty for starting pitchers, ditto for relievers.  Though I personally feel that 3 rightys and one lefty is a perfect staff.  Two leftys is too much - so I guess it's debatable...

The scope of this enormous project is awesome.  It reminds me of the heady days of the Dee-Nee vs. Dah-Nah project.  Still waiting to see that Rom and the t-shirt dedicated to it!

At least let the polls run through midnight Sunday.  I thik there might be some weekend stragglers out there.  Give them their shot...

It's your baby dvldog and most of the main votes are in.  Any stragglers probably wouldn't have changed the outcome.  Top-notch job so far, I'll add a table on my Rankings page to include the winners.....

Tudor.  Wooooooooooooooooo!

Doesn't Tommy Him play 3B?  Or am I just on another Dove quality binge?

Again, I'm proving I'm the biggest retard on this site.  I voted for Pendleton at third and yet I'm questioning if someone else plays there.  I guess I'm just think of Him's batting position.  Damn, I can't wait for this semester to finish up.

I don't agree with the Robbie Thompson stuff. I made a comment about the guy--but I didn't trash him. He's got a couple of HR's on my RBI fantasy team. I think he should get a fair shot at 2nd team all RBI.  Maybe a coin toss or something.
