Keith Hernandez hit a two-run homer into the right field bleachers in the bottom of the ninth inning to give The OC a dramatic 7-6 victory over THE Parish State University in a Gantry Division game played Monday at Tengen Field. The OC's seven runs is beleved to be the lowest run total by a winning team in Fantasy RBI history.
Todd Worrell picked up the win in relief for The OC (3-1), and his single in the ninth inning gave Hernandez a chance to win the game with one swing of the bat.
"Hey, I was the all-time leader in game-winning RBIs before the so-called 'major leagues' stopped tracking that stat." Hernandez said. "Those stat-heads who say it's not a real stat can piss off. Eat a dong, Bill James Ochong!"
THE Parish State University (2-2) had taken a 6-5 lead in the eighth inning on a solo home run by Brian Downing, his second homer of the game. However, Parish State could not hold on despite outhitting The OC 17-13.

Will Clark's grand slam capped a seven-run fifth inning that propelled The Unholy Legions of Doom to a 12-9 victory over a game Hip Young Popes squad in a Doverbi Division game played on Tuesday afternoon at Tengen Stadium.
Clark hit two home runs on the day and drove in six for The Unholy Legion of Doom (2-2), while teammate Jose Canseco also added two homers. Jack Morris picked up the win in relief, while Doug Corbett pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the save.
Tim Teufel had a pair of solo shots for the Hip Young Popes (0-4), which took a game the distance for the first time this season. Jim Lindeman added a home run and a double along with three RBI.

Well, it seemed like the only question going into the South Arkansas Penis vs. Nimrods game on Wednesday was how long it would last. The Penis were without a loss; the Nimrods were without a win. Little did we know just how exciting this game would be.
Both teams would trade runs in the first inning, and the Penis would pull ahead with two more runs in the top of the second. But in the home half, The Nimrods would respond. Singles by Speier and Ripken would bring Vince Coleman up to the plate.

Peter Gammons: I talked to Nimrods GM Ultimate7 before the game, and he had a secret clubhouse meeting where he told the players that they would be held accountable for their play if they didn't perform. HR: And as we're watching this game, I turned to you guys and said "Game Over". I thought for sure that The Nimrods had no way of rallying after that.

KR: And here's why: The Nimrods showed so much heart in the game. In the bottom half of the eighth, Chris Speier would jack a three-run homer to help bring The Nimrods to 15-13. But then the Penis would show their killer instinct by putting up a three-spot of their own in the top of the ninth to extend it to 18-13.

The Nimrods would need help from the bottom of their order if they were going to win, right Peter?

The Frank Tanana All-Stars scored five runs each in the seventh and eighth innings en route to an 11-7 victory over The Poopydicks in a Fantasy RBI League game played Thursday at Tengen Stadium. With the victory, The Frank Tanana All-Stars (3-1) took sole possession of first place in the Doverbi Division.
Both teams' starters had strong outings, but neither would figure in the decision. Bret Saberhagen gave up two earned runs in four innings for the FTAS, while Mike Krukow only gave up one earned run in four and one-third innings of work for The Poopydicks (2-2).
Greg Gagne hit a pair of solo home runs for the FTAS, whole George Hendrick drove in four. The Poopydicks' offense was led by Chili Davis, who homered, drove in three and scored three times.

Kevin Mitchell drove in the game-winning run with a two-out single in the ninth inning to lift The Creamy Pirates to a seesaw, 24-23 victory over The Fighting Tony Danzas in an interdivisional Fantasy RBI League game played Friday at Tengen Stadium.
The Creamy Pirates (3-1) pulled out to an early 8-1 lead in the first inning, but The Fighting Tony Danzas (1-3) refused to give up, coming back to tie the game with eight runs in the seventh inning and taking a 20-18 with two runs in the eighth.
Tom Brunansky and Tim Raines each homered twice for The Creamy Pirates, while Mark McGwire homered and drove in five. For The Fighting Tony Danzas, Dick Schofield had a huge game, homering twice and hitting three doubles along with scoring four times and driving in five.
