Blyleven was dominant early, giving up only 3 runs in the first 5 innings. Questionable move keeping him in for the 6th, when he was throwing in the 50s, so he got roughed up in that inning. Surprisingly no pinch hitter the next half inning and they carted out Bertus for the 7th. It was short lived as he started to get roughed up again and then Witt relieved him. The bullpen ends up blowing the lead as we go into the 9th with the score tied. Unlikely hero Rob Wilfong comes up huge with a pinch hit sac fly that would end up being the difference maker. Great game guys.
