I'll admit sometimes I get so wrapped up in the forum world that I forget the greatness of Dee-Nee.com. So sometimes, to remind myself I like to take a little trip there and laugh my freaking head off. So if any of you need a little reminder may I suggest starting at Potsie's Hall of Shame. When you are down and out about an RBI beatdown, he can make you feel better. Hats off to you Potsie! By the way is your nickname a marijuana reference or something else? Dah-Nah! (that word is not being used enough lately, unlike the days of dee-nee v. dah-nah)
And I'm not sure if MarquisEXB is hanging around but I still think that ROM should be made. The Dah-Nah's after all were featuring a very dangerous lead-off man... Dove"HighLife"RBI!
Dove, are you a HighLife lover? I thought I was the only one. 4.99 at my local CircleK. Doesn't get any better than that.
Plus, if you drink enough of them the girl sitting on the moon winks at you.
High Life is a damn fine beverage if I do say so myself. If we can find a 30 of High Life Light durng OSU- Michigan week it causes OSU to win.
However, it was nowhere to be found this year and our rush defense sucked cock. Thanks alot High Life!!!

The quest for a DAH-NAH vs. DEE-NEE ended in a bitter plame war between vitb6 and myself. The war left the project on the shelf. However, now that we have some new solid members to in the DAH-NAH side...maybe its time to revise the old rom. I'm glad that it hasn't been made yet, because our team looks to have several new recruits. I am game to resurect the noton...only if it has forum support.
Well I have made the nomination of only someone will second it. As for High Life I say "DEEEEEEEEE-NEEEEEEE!" I love High Life. My only complaint is that I live in the south and they do not do the 30 "cube" here. If I lived in Chicago I would have a cube of Old Style delivered to me erey' day!
I drink more Old Style than all the other bruskies combined. Though PBR is my favorite cheap beer, there's only one place with the 30-pack and it's never cold...
I have to say I'm not big on the Champagne o' Beers, though I'll certainly drink it. On the "Gantry 30-pack ratings" it's at the bottom of the ones available at the local grocers. The list:
1) PBR
2) Old Style
3) Lacrosse Lager
4) Red Dog
5) High Life
High Life - 12 pack bottles.
$4.99 for a 12-er of bottles? At that price, I could learn to love the high life...
Most of the time it is $5.99 but about once a week or once every couple of weeks they mark it down a buck. When they first did I just about shit my pants with excitement.
I love when I find beer for dirt cheap. It's like finding five bucks in your pocket.
Right now in my fridge I have in order from best to worst:
Franziskaner Hefe Weisse
Guinness Draught
Brooklyn Weisse
McSorleys Ale
New Amsterdam Ale
Dinkel Acker Dark
To each their own.
Mike
Given that I've only heard of the Guinness, you're a microbrew kind of guy. Which is fine, I like my fair share of good beers as well...
Brooklyn is well known among in NYC. At least among people who's vocab goes past Bud. It's a local brew & going to the brewery is always a good time. They just started bottling their Weiss beer, and now I understand why they didn't before, because it's so much better on tap.
McSorleys is NYC's oldest bar. You can buy their beer cheaply in supermarkets, but it's not the same as going down to the old dump & drinking it there. Up until the 1970s it was no women allowed.
New Amsterdam, NYC's old name (which you already know if you listen to TMBG), is an OK beer. Also cheap, nothing special, someone left it in my fridge.
I can't stand the Dinkel Aker, it's another friend leftover.
It took me about 5+ years before I liked Guinness. Now I can't get enough. I'm especially big on the black & tans, which is why I like to keep New Amsterdam or McSorely's around.
Mike
Yeah I don't know what it is about Guiness but I have been drinking beer religiously now for about 3 years and I'm just starting to like it. Maybe it is tough because I can only drink about 3 before I feel like I just ate Thanksgiving as opposed to my ability to drink an entire cube of cheap light shit.
I don't like Guinness by itself but you pour me a black and tan and I'm in hog heaven. Guinness alone fills me up to much and I always feel like a stuffed pig after about two or three.
Speaking of Guinness, I love their new commercials. I hate commercials and advertising but this one got me. BRILLIANT!
Beer commercials are always at the forefront of ad genius. Those guinesses are great, but I really like the Miller "I can't taste my beer!" ad. Reminds of 29 days later.
The commercial is pretty good but one part always makes me piss myself. The Chinaman (Dude, Chinaman is not the correct nomenclature. Asian American) at the bowling alley (how fitting that I quote The Big Lebowski...what a coincidence) is the funny part. Something about the look on his face. Reminds me of my father-in-law, I guess.
