I don't recall ever hearing this on here but it's definitely dee-nee & hall of shame worthy.
Apparently back in the day the two had their differences. Lombardozzi goes over to Gladden's house to straighten it out and Gladden beats his ass right there on the lawn.
Here are a couple crazy links complete with the scene being reenacted by legos:

Love it. Plus I'm a sucker for Lego reenactments.
Come on fellas. An RBI'er beating another RBI'er's ass on his front lawn is really worthy of more attention than this.
I like how they're dressed as astromen. It adds a sense of realism to the reenactment.
i like the continuity of the astroturf lawn. it creates a familiarity to what they were playing on in the metrodome.
I had never heard this story before. Classic.
I have never heard Dan Gladden called by the nickname "Dazzle". That may be one of the gheyest nicknames in all of RBI Baseball.
I prefer "Glad Bag" than a shitty name like "Dazzle." Come on, what kind of nickname is that? Dan "Dazzle" Gladden...HA! Dan "Glad Bag" Gladden sounds better because he sucks in RBI Baseball and feels like he's hitting with a Glad Bag than using a proper bat.

I thought you meant because he is "easy to contain." You just ruined what I thought was a very clever pun.
I never heard "Dazzle" when he was playing, but his radio play-by-play man always calls him that. Sometimes it's not just "Dazzle" - sometimes it's "The Dazzle Man".
