Title: Happy Birthday to the youngest player in RBI Baseball
Post by: DamnTheCowboys on 03/09/06, 02:42:09 PM
Benito Santiago is 41 today.    :o

And technically he is still active.   Anyone know what team he's trying out for this year?

Benito is the shit. When i was a little kid I used to yell his name out because it sounded cool. As I grew I began to take notice as to how sweet it is when a catcher throws from the crouch. Happy birthday Benny, 2002 NLCS MVP.

I can't say no to that. From what I have heard from a friend of mine who played big time college ball steroids are quite prevalent. My friend who plays basketball at Boise State was also a pitcher at U of Arizona (lucky fuck, "my arms fucked up good thing I can hoop") before he blew his elbow out. He said over half the dudes on his team were on the shit, most of whom were big league prospects.

I wonder why no players are outspoken against Bonds and his use?

He was one of the players named in the BALCO thing.  I don't remember whether he was subpoenaed, though.

I believe Benny has retired, but I'm not sure on that.  He can still hit, but doesn't get the chance to play much. Stupid managers.....

Julio Franco will definitely be the sole survivor from RBI Baseball, since signing a 2-year deal with the Mets.  Clemens is pi$$ing me off with this "will he/won't he" crap too.  I hope he retires for good now, I don't care anymore.
