Title: astroturf
Post by: vgp100 on 12/31/03, 02:31:22 PM
Why is RBI played on astroturf?
Wouldn't the programmers want their game to be played on natural grass?

its actually prograss not astroturf.  The programmers made it an outdoor stadium but didn't want the high costs of maintaining natural grass.  So they develop the hybrid, "prograss".

So they have grass quality without any of the bad hops.

Yuoo'll gett the occasional "bop" and the ball can skip across the ground like astroturf, but what prograss gives you is the avoidance of injuries which is crucial.

It's a cross between Kentucky Bluegrass and Northern California sensimilla.  The great thing about this stuff is that you can play 18 holes on it and then go home and get stoned to the bejeezus off it.
Cannonball!  Cannonball comin'!

I think that the special turf blend is what causes the ball to always be rolling to a baseman rather than on the fly.  fuck tengen hos!
