http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/baseball/mlb/wires/03/14/2010.ap.bbo.gooden.arrested.0249/ - What the hell? What's with the Doc and always getting arrested for cocaine? How many times was he arrested with cocaine...fifteen? The more times he gets arrested, the more his (lack of) credibility dies.
Good god...didn't he get banned for a year for testing positive for coke whilst during a sixty-day suspension?
I fucking hate that asshole Kelly Dwyer, one of SI's NBA guys. Get a fucking haircut, put your soul tooth on your vagina to help keep the sand out. Fuck you, pussy bitch.
the defending champion oc are shocked at the news of this recent arrest of our pitcher who has fallen on hard times of late.
our management has decided however, that in the best interest of mr. gooden and the oc that we will post his bail and make sure he can be on the mound for his next start. it is the opinion of the oc that doc gooden will be helped the most by pitching through his personal problems that have come off the field.
i'll know open it up to your questions...
Mr Ballgame, why did Doc openly admit to his probation officer that he was using coke? I mean, he could have shut the fuck up and nobody would have been the wiser . Was this a cry for help? Is he pitching high ala Keith Hernandez?
I was going to edit the Gooden RBIdb page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Dwight_Gooden), but it is already perfect....
Cocaine...

What, what does he need credibility for, he's not reporting anything. In fact if anything his credibility is increasing since he turned himself in.
It's very strange that he would admit something like this. His probation officer gave a drug test as soon as he heard this, so it wasn't like he was admitting guilt right before a mandatory test to save face. Maybe he's finally sick of being a 40-something year old drug addict, can't be a fun life...

cocaine is a hell of a drug. we have both keith hernandez ans gooden on our roster. they are involved in a co-dependent rehab accountability group that involves a lot of pitcher's fielding practice, magic loogies, and white stuff.
We need both of them to stay on drugs...it only enhances their play on the field. In the middle of an important RBI season is not the time you want to sober up.
They WILL be suspended from the team if they don't cooperate and start doing more coke.

Honestly how can any pitcher be strung out and addicted to cocaine. After so many days can he even see straight?
i'm assuming your question was not rhetorical.
doc gooden has a high tolerance for the level of cocaine in his bloodstream.
rumor has it, he was actually born in columbia and was raised by cocaine farmers after he was found in a coca field. his legend spread far and wide for snorting an entire foul-line from home plate to the left field foul pole... without even swithcing nostrils.
That is too much i have tears in my eyes.
My mom was born in Columbia. I have never done coke. How is this possible?
[anal-retentive spelling nazi]
The country is spelled Colombia. Columbia is a city in Missouri (and South Carolina, and probably several other states).

While you are correct...Columbia Missouri has a huge cocaine industry...and I'm sure Teddy was referring to that.
I hope he gets the help he needs. Sounds to me like he is asking for someone to help him kick the habit. He's going on 20+ years of a coke problem, he can't have much more left in the tank.
That being said, I bet he gets some good shit.
I bet he has next to zero dopamine production.
My old roommate in Atlanta had a severe Ecstasy/Coke addiction in college, ie: popping at least an average of 3 pills a day for 3 years, and plowing through ye like no tomorrow. He quit drugs, but had such a severe lack of dopamine production he had to go on dopamine production enhancement pills for about 3 years until his body started producing enough on its own to keep him from offing himself.
Drugs are bad...mmmkay?

I'm gonna have to start using this phrase.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2379668
Gooden facing up to 5 years in prison, and the state is seeking imprisonment
not if i have anything to say about it.
Teddy, I'll pull some strings with some politiciany type people.
Gooden won't miss a start
At this rate, it might five years before the next week of games is played...
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2396617
sentencing is tomorrow
Doc is pretty sweet, and I like the guy. I still think he could be facing some time here based in this offense, but also his histroy. I'll guess 2, maybe 3 years.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2397657
1 year in prison for the Doc maybe WATN should be updated, we'll need an incarcerated list
Done:
http://dee-nee.com/rbi/wherearetheynow.shtml#JAIL (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/wherearetheynow.shtml#JAIL)
"He chose the prison sentence over reinstatement of his probation, which would have meant the prospect of five years behind bars if he violated it again."
Amazing, the Doc's cocaine problem must be ridiculous.
Wow, the article has been updated, a lot of that info wasn't in there this morning
Fuck that...the dude did some coke...that's his problem. No need to send him to jail.
if you like coke so much, then maybe the best thing to do is move to some country where you can do it without getting harrassed.
He's on parole...can't leave the country
he might be able to "find" another country. i'm just sayin.
I'd like to have my foot "find" your ass.

What're the odds that he'll actually serve all 366 days?
Do we have a resident Dee-Nee legal expert?
Also, if you ever wanted to write the Doc a letter, now is the time.
"With credit for time already served in jail and a drug treatment facility, Gooden likely will spend about 7½ months in state prison, said his attorney, Peter Hobson."
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2464115
Gooden never wants to go back to jail again after he gets out
That's shocking, prison seems like such a swanky place...
https://nypost.com/2019/07/16/dwight-gooden-spotted-for-first-time-since-cocaine-possession-bust/
Apart from his gut, he doesn't look back for a 54 year old drug addict.
On a related note, a Dee-Nee forum member may or may not have spent a lot of money on a Doc Gooden jersey this morning.
I'm assuming you were able to photo match it based on the location of white powder?

IT COULD BE ANYONE!!!!!!!!
The thick plottens
socks and sandals. . . .that is probably worse than being a coke head
What about if he paired them with a nice vest?
