Download the lastest version of the rom set & ratings: http://league.rbicentral.com/2k6roms.htm
If you notice problems with the players/ratings please post them on the 2k6 forum. THANK YOU!
Good stuff...although I could only get to 10 teams. How do I get to the other 20.
P.S. you must have given Sexson some sick power as I just absolutely crushed a ball using him.
I downloaded the Zip file to test it and it shows all 3 roms in the file. Is anybody else having this problem?
Sexson does smash the ball in 2k6 thats for sure, in fact, I think hes probably top 3 in power. Last time around (2k3) I will admit I had too much power on the roms, and that is in part to my lack of wanting to use algebra, and the crudity of the tools I had to use. This time around I used formulas, and Nightwulf's excellent Editor. Heres some comparrison of the roms to the original.
# of players on the rom with 900+ power:
East - 16
Original - 12
Central - 10
West - 9
# of players on the rom with 850+ power:
West - 32
East - 29
Original - 28
Central - 27
What team did you move to the West?
Houston
Awesome, great work.
Would you mind posting the player ratings for all to see?
I may have to order this on NES Cart form.
I planned on posting the ratings on my 2k6 website, along with getting the top 5-10 players in each category for quick reference.
Two things about the cart...
Has anybody ordered and gotten one back yet?
If so, would it be possible to get three on a cart?
Im going to work on the ratings info now...post when im finished...
Not sure if this will answer what you were looking for.
But they did an Arcade RBI cart and got them back, fairly promptly if I recall.
And they play perfectly.
Yes, I just wondered if anybody got one back. Also, I posted above, but just incase you already downloaded it, I did have to upload a new zip folder with updates to 3 players (above) I certinly cant have Ichiro running around at a 97 when the low is supposed to be 118. :P
Here are the ratings: http://league.rbicentral.com/2k6ratings.htm
Awesome bro, I haven't looked at the ratings in full yet, but, after each team's opener, do you plan on switching the lineups around to reflect their opening day lineups?
Also, Joey Gathright is faster than Carl Crawford.
You need to give Dunn more pop less contact, and griffey better contact.
Joe Dirt handled the buying of all the carts so he could give you exact details on how long it took. leon works on them in his spare time, so i hear he's a little slow at churing them out, but he came through and they look very professional, and i found no glitches (outside of the usual rbi glitches) on mine.
the tecmo super bowl crew also has ordered from that guy and had no problems. so feel secure when purchasing from nes reproductions.
The ratings are pretty much going to stay the way they are. Those where the MVP ratings as of january, and i used them to formulate skill rating. You are more then welcome to go to Nightwulf's Editor and play around with your lineups and stats to your hearts desire. I will make them loadable on there for convenience. Just remember, if you play against somebody online, you will need the same copy.
Thanks for the info TBT. Do you know if I could get all 3 on one cart? Maybe a selection screen that would allow to at least pick which rom to load. Im not sure how that works. It's not a priority right now, I just want to know what you guys think of the game.
I played a few games and found it quite enjoyable. Thanks for making it. I do notice there seems to be a juiced ball as there are dome long freaking bombs going on. P.S. Randy Winn is like Tim Raines. Multiple HR games and crazy speed it seems. This ROM makes the original version seem like the dead ball era.

No problem. I just liked working on it, though it was tedious at times. The few games I played seemed to be fairly normal. I actually had a 0-0 score into the 5th in one game. I was aiming for closer to the classic, I did my best. :)

i do know of those in japan games that gave you 10 or 20 games on 1 cart, but i believe nightwulf, or leon thought it wasnt possible for the rbi cart.
I'm too dumb to get it to work but this looks very cool.

What can't you do?
I don't think I have the proper software to run the program. I didnt try to hard to get it going either, I'll give it my best to get it going and let you know if I run into any problems

Here are instructions (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/faq.shtml#CPU)
Jason Schmidt has a 0.04 ERA. Impressive.
I believe the term is "dental floss thin"
Thanks, I'll get on that asap. It was bizzaro schmidt. His actual was 4.40
Man, this is great work clyon! Got your latest PM and for some reason thought you still had access problems with the FTP, but the site is in full effect. I'll do a much-needed front page update right now...
Yes sorry,
I should have told you it was up. I was just trying to upload to the http instead of the ftp. If you see anything I should fix gantry, let me know.
I think the only thing I didnt pay attention to much on this rom set was "sidearm" pitchers. If somebody wouldnt mind making a small list based on the guys on the rom, I can add those for the next update.
Thanks
Check your 2k6 board, I made a note about possibly linking to the 2k3 ROMs. If you want, I can link to each on my ROMs page. They are still quality ROMs and should be downloadable...
I'll add a link eventually for the 2k3, feel free to add the 2k6 roms to your "roms" section. I would appreciate that. I just uploaded 1.1 on my site, use those. The original download on here still had some player mistakes.
I found one mistake

That's beyond disgusting...even worse is how far Pat Morita has fallen.
Very good job with the RBI2k6 rom and website. Who do you use for hosting?? I am looking for hosting but don't want to pay alot since I'm a broke college student.
i believe he uses gantry for hosting...so keep dreaming.
i think every college in the world (even in hick indiana) gives some free webspace to their students.
We get webspace, but the hosting is poor and doesn't involve file lockers.
i have one problem with this. graffanino is on the bench for boston, but he isn't on their roster for '06. gonzalez starts for boston, but isn't on their roster.. also, there are two first basemen starting for boston (youkilis and ortiz).
