Title: I finally played my first game of RBI.
Post by: moses on 04/01/06, 10:15:49 AM
Okay, my take on the game. I think in spent more time cussing at the tv than actually playing.

1. The little guys in the outfield with the square legs need to run faster. I was told that the field is a lot bigger than it appears and they are already running pretty fast. Fuck that move your ass and get the ball.

2. My fat fingers need to learn the control buttons better. I keep throwing the ball into the catcher. Not on purpose my mind wants it to go somewhere else but my hands were not cooperating.

3. The game cheats. I cannot believe that it is allowed to hit your player in the head knocking him senseless long enough for the other player to run to first base. This happened two or three times.

Thanks Teddy.

Actually I am getting a little better. I did play some more on saturday, unfortunately I do not own RBI so i will not be able to practice at home. I am very competitive so i will need to get a copy because I cannot stand to lose anything.

Brad was a little irritated because he scored a shit load of runs and we still lost to my shitty outfield playing. Ha.

It was a lot of fun and i did enjoy playing.

You should have done it the opposite--fielding is too hard for newbies but it's pretty easy to understand how to hit.

yeah i realize that, but she didnt pick up the fielding so hot initially.

so for practice sake she took the field.  she is learning pitcher movement fairly well.  maybe moses will be the next joe dirt in pitching.

we will win next time.

damnitt joe  ;D

what i meant was she seemed to do a good job hitting, and not getting fooled too much by balls outta the zone.  so i figured moses would be better served to play defense.

at least you were throwing it to the catcher - most newbs I play against always throw to first

Teddy's right - this is a great thread.

Eventually, moses, you will get the hang of fielding - it just takes some practice.
