In comparing the NES and Arcade versions:

". . . the stadium background is more detailed on the NES however the pitcher animations are a little cleaner and more detailed in the arcade."

"I've always felt that the NES version played smoother and faster than the arcade original but I wasn't able to definitively confirm or deny this so I guess that's something up to each player's discretion."


Did we know the first quote to be true?

And have we discussed a slight difference in gameplay before?

I like that in the Arcade the crowd is split in 2 by teams colors

Gantry's description of the arcade version says that it plays a little faster (just enough to throw off your timing).  I haven't played arcade much, just on an emulator, but that sounds about right.  I've never really looked at the stadium... are they talking about the walls, the crowd, or what?

It might also be a function of the screen size and stuff like that.

on nes there is a white line on the top of the wall and in arcade, there isn't.  the crowd, too is different, as mentioned above.
