cannot save stats
If you really want to track them, you CAN.  It's tedious, but you can set up some an excel template and track each at-bat manually.  Again, it is pretty tedious, but possible.

cannot trade players
If you go to Nightwulf's RBI site: http://nightwulf.rbicentral.com/rbi-editor/ (http://nightwulf.rbicentral.com/rbi-editor/), you can manually trade players.  Another tedious project, but it's possible.

limited number of teams
Again, Nightwulf's site... Create teams, using multiple ROMs.

all players move in unison
No solution; It's part of the game.

no playoffs
Set up a chart by yourself - simulate the games you aren't in... yada yada yada - it's do-able.

stupid computer errors
Definitely part of the game - without these errors, we wouldn't have the walzie or any other creative terms.

freaky color/shape of players
More acurate - I think it was John Kruk who said baseball players aren't athletes... They all kinda look like Kruk.

game is PERFECT as is
Isn't that why most of us are here?  Dee-Nee!!

Personal stats are at the top. Second only to not having more teams, followed by a draft mode.

I'll appreciate the compliment, but MarquisEXB deserves his props as well.

I think the Shitter said what needed to be said.

I just wish there were a modern day version of RBI.  That's all I want for Christmas next year.  And the arcade version to be playable on my NES.

Modern day version?  You mean, like same gameplay, but better graphics and sound?  That would be ass-kicking.  I've played some newer baseball games, and they can be fun (MVP Baseball 2003 is the best I've played of the new ones), but I liked the gameplay of RBI the best, and that's still my game of choice.  If you're just looking for new players, of course, MarquisEXB, Clyon81, and others have made some great updated ROMs.

I think (hope) Mclane means a new game that's the same as the old one in every aspect except it has todays players. The ROM's are ok, but it's not the same playing in the computer as it is on the NES.

I still haven't voted--never will. That's just insulting to the game.

Well, I don't think it's blasphemy to vote.  I would love to have season stats and the like on RBI.  I'm just not one of those people who won't take the time to do stats manually, yet love it when stats are incorporated.  I think some people call it laziness...

RBI is the best, but having stats would make it better.  No doubt...

I did mean RBI but with today's players, etc.  But not a ROM because that is possible I guess.  I mean an actual NES cartridge becasue we all know nothing beats the play on the original NES.
