Title: How does the computer determine what pitch to throw?
Post by: AndyDeGreat on 04/18/06, 12:11:29 PM
I'm curious: How does the computer determine what pitch to throw? Has this been figured out at some point yet? Might this be what the Unknown variables are for?

Best assumption is that the Unknowns are used for this probably combined with some RNG maybe also based if hitter is R or L.

Nightwulf can teach you how to read the code.

Once you are hitting them hard, they do get pissed off.   If a pitcher starts throwing bs changeups when I have the bases sauced with none out and he gets out of the jam by throwing junk, I plunk his ass next time up.  The computer does have a mind of its own and it does get pissed.
