How did Kips get such a better line up than the rest of you? Not even close...
how do kips and vit have the same leadoff hitter? how is RBI allowing for 9 position players in the lineup?

DH.
Since pitchers don't matter in this league, Ripken (for Kips' team) will be his pitcher.

I call bullcrap! Kip's line up is now completely different!
Spilman/Boone, back to back. That's some serious juice. You guys are in trouble.

I love Keith Hernandez
GDavis was gonig for the all catcher lineup, he apparently likes to condense all his team speed into 2 players as I think his 3-9 hitters maybe the slowest combination of 7 players possible.

I wanted my speed guys to have some pop as well. My team is full of gamers.. guys that will come up big in clutch situations. That's the way you build a winner. Not with "statistics" or "power ratings" or whatever nonsense the rest of these chumps were doing.
Vit just drafted Bush because he has the same last name as the president.
That;s why there's a smiley next to the name
My lineup is looking better and better with each opposing lineup I see.

That is right. But actually Bush is pretty darn good. Plus he is a lefty. 5/9 lefties rivals only Kips 6/9.
Bush? He's usually good for a weak flyout even when he gets the pinch hit boost. McGwire is really the only guy in your lineup who's going to make any noise.

You non-straight pitch mofo's. You havn't got a clue.
Coleman gets a single. Baines is now set up nicely with the lefty hit. McGwire hits a 3 run HR. Schmidt hits a single and sets up Nokes with a lefty hit for a HR. One of Guerrero and Mitchell will get on 1B and setup a lefty hit for Bush and Bergman, of whom both have the power to hit a HR (especially the Vagina).
I'm going to bat around at least twice per game.

Updated at 8:45pm, May, uh... Whatever the date is. Look at the "last edited" line below here.
Franco is available for Mattingly.
I'm having trouble nailing down my lineup. I know you guys are my "opponents" - but what do you think? Should I go Pettis first and shift Trammel down to 6th? Logic dictates that I should have a lefty up after Pettis, but then again he's my worst player so I probably shouldn't go out of the way to make him fit properly...

You're way overthinking this
Spoken like someone who won't make the playoffs... Take Bob Boone and go home!
Boony is good for 50 Hrs no matter where he hits in the order
Yeah, just look at how well he's doing for the Hip Young Popes!

I was actually thinking abot putting Bush or Bergman at #2 after Coleman to improve a weak player, but I can't pull myself to give them that many AB's per game. I figure a decent player in Baines will become a good player in the #2 hole instead.

Ummm, no.

Haven't had time to put together my line-up yet, as got home from work late and had to respond to Rack's "Predictions" thread.
Assuming there are no trades before we start (actually what I wanted as this will best indicate the best "drafted" team).
There are 180 games that will be divided into 36 weeks (5 games each).
Each team will play each other team in 2 home and 2 away games.
Batting orders may only be changed every 9 weeks. A 1-2 day window will be given at every opportunity to change your line-up.
So just make sure, when your line-up is set, it is set (at least for the first 45 games I will play).
Feel I have my work cut out for me, but hopefully I will be more than halfway done by dee-nee fest. I would have to average nearly 3 games a day to finish by dee-nee fest.
Maybe if I get a lot of "10-run-rule" games, I might get close.
I will start putting the line-ups together late tonite, so please work on finalizing them.
Also, just update your current posting if you want a change (as I don't want to change it after I put it together).
see ya
Octo and I were discussing this last night, Stock, BP CPU controlled defense games are going to take at least half an hour each.
Would anybody be opposed if Stock only did 5 inning games? The typicaly score is still going to be 25-23.

Not necessarily.
First, I am not that good. And even with great players, it is still easy to go on a cold streak.
If it gets unbearable after doing the first half of the season, I may end it at 90 games (instead of 180 overall).
little league style (6 innings).
Then that will mean everyone will have to play.

"Where am I, damnit? I'm in the fucking hall of fame. Respect my authorit-i!"
Awesome. I have Gagne as all four of my pitchers. I shall win this league going away.
I think the team with Canseco should have to bat him 9th, just to see him blow out his arm.
Got in a few games with Nomaaa tonight, Strawberry is the only one that hit a home run for me (two, I believe), overall, I'm pretty confident my team sucks.
