Thanks to Stock for putting the league/draft together!
Round 1
Best pick: I was very happy that the 2nd most powerful hitter in the game fell to #6, and he's a lefty at that - no real surprises this round
Worst pick: Since Nomaaa picked Armas and Burks back-to-back you can't really consider Burks a true 1st rounder, and he never would have made it back to Nomaa anyway
Round 2
Best pick: I thought Hrbek was a great choice at the end of the round
Worst pick: Nokes, by far - this pick could have waited a couple of rounds and there were far better lefties still on the board
Round 3
Best pick: Brookens was pick #22 while being the 13th highest-rated power hitter; Jack Clark and Dewey were solid back-to-back value picks
Worst pick: Both Chili and Joyner went a little higher than they probably should have, although they were the best of the available lefties
Round 4
Best pick: no real surprises this round; alot of slow mid-power righties this round with a couple of weaker lefties thrown in
Worst pick: Guerro was a little shady as there were better righties available at the time
Round 5
Best pick: both Schofield and Gedman were good values for their draft position
Worst pick: Trammell leading off the round surprised me a bit
Round 6
Best pick: ?
Worst pick: I thought Lopes should have gone before Coleman; Morris was also a bit of a reach here
Round 7
Best pick: Heath was a decent choice here although he runs like he has a piano on his back
Worst pick: There were a handful of available lefties with similar speed to Ozzie that have more power
Round 8
Best pick: Speier, there wer similar guys taken a round or two earlier
Worst pick: Franco, there were similar speed guess left with more power
Round 9
Best pick: I really wanted Bass to fall to me so I guess this would be the best
Worst pick: TBD

The Nokes pick really was equivelant to someone taking Royce Clayton in the 1st round of a fantasy baseball draft.
What the hell does "Slow as Christmas" mean?
Was it a fantasy Dread draft?

for children anticipating the gifts they will receive, Christmas can seem to take forever to get here, just like Heath heading for home
is that better?

my turn to ask you what this means
Drafts that don't include pitching suck, so boring, except for Nokes
All you haters better recognize the power of Matty "fatty" Nokes.
Tom Brookens in the 3rd round *puke*
There are more important things than just a raw power number.
i take doc gooden as my number one pick!

seeing as how this is basically a BP league, power may be more important than you think
We'll recognize Fatty Matty's low power number the first game, where he goes 2-5 with 2 singles.

Not too sure about that, I play stricly straight pitch BP games. I'm looking at some of your teams and I'm not too impressed I'm not saying I have the best team but it is far from the worst.
RBI is a power game...not finesse
Ray Knight in the last round was an absolute steal. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a top 30 player.
Lets be honest, none of us know how this league is going to turn out. Too many people are putting "stock" into how particular players would play for them personally. The only person playing is Stock, and he prefers lefties. That is a big bonus to lefty-heavy lineups. And for those who don't play straight pitch, lefties have a huge advantage with the lefty hit factor. You make good contact with a lefty and a runner on first (and since there is no curve you almost always do), the odds are that if it is a ground it'll be a lefty hit...
For my personal strategy, I went with lefties first and speed second. That is why I took guys like Trammel/Davis etc even though there were guys with 15 more power points available. To me, 6-8 speed points is much more valuable than 15 power points. The computer is fielding... I repeat, the computer is fielding. If you ever played the computer, you know that unless a gounder is hit straight at them, it's going to the wall. I'm hoping with my speed-heavey lineup, I will have way more doubles than singles. This eliminates double-plays, makes an easy score on a base hit, etc. Win win for the Poopybutts...
Will this strategy work? I'm not sure, but based on past experiences in straight pitch and playing the CPU, I think I drafted wisely...
In conclusion, WeatherMatt is a complete fkn bastard for taking Reynolds Wrap, and I would like my team a lot more with him instead of that loser Santiago...
As for the teams, the two guys who I typically liked all their picks were Kips and Octo. Nobody did a bad job and we are all for the most part even. Considering how there are 1-2 "bad egg" drafters in every fantasy draft, this was a pleasant surprise. What I'm saying is no matter what, we are all winners!

Fkn Sally.
Rack, fine...
Worst pick of the draft - Matt Nokes, The Rackaculars
As an outsider looking in (peeping Tom), I'd say that Gantry's line up is the best so far. Although I don't think I've seen 'em all and I am a "non-straight" kinda guy, too.
this is awesome
I can't wait for the season to start, Stock is going to be a VERY busy man. Stock - I expect that you'll be posting videos of the game?
I agree with alot of what Gantry says regardin the computer fielding. Which is why I chose Franco over similarly fast guys with more power. Against the computer, if you have a fast guy, the dinkier the hit, the better the result. I didn't want a guy with 780 power hitting a hard ground ball and getting thrown out more easily or hitting a weak flyball. Franco will be gold, Jerry, gold.
P.S. the Nokes pick was fawful (fucking awful).
Nokestacular (tm)
Lets compromise - Fatackluar
Not to beat a dead horse, but I didn't like the Nokes pick either. Not that Nokes is a bad player, but he would have easily been around for Rack in the 3rd round and maybe even the fourth.
Surely there was another stud available at that point in the draft?
Like Brunansky? Or Raines? LOL.

have you ever played RBI Baseball before? The NES version??
Well Raines was gone. But Rupperto? Hrbek? (Although I am kicking myself for passing on Hrbek myself) That's just the lefties.

Yikes Rack, your non-Bo/Ca/Dt ignorance is showing. Both of these guys are way better than Nokes, no matter what version....
But even if you don't like these guys, there is no logic for taking Nokes over Rupperto. None...
Raines has about the same power rating as Nokes, but with Vince Coleman speed. I also feel like as a pure hitter Raines plays much better than Nokes does.

actually, aren't we still waiting on Nomaaa's last pick?
but other than that, props to everyone for paying attention
We are, but stock already said that he has unlimited time since it's the final pick...
Agreed - a smooth draft mostly thanks to the good work of Stock...

How did Kips get such a better line up than the rest of you? Not even close...
Fkn flip-flopping cheater... Kips' lineup is quality, his bottom of the order is definitely stronger than mine...
