The 1986 teams will be back from last time, with a couple changes:
Mets now have Kevin Mitchell as an avaliable PH.
Denny Walling has an added power boost (from 750 to 836)
Lowered the contact rating of some hitters
All-new American and National teams, composed of a mixture of 1985-86
And more...
Now I'm getting the newcomers: Toronto, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, and I'm having trouble getting some stats. I'm looking at Baseball-Reference, and getting all the stats from there. Now the hard part: how will I determine pitchers?
go to the Rbi board....more people check it, you'll get better tips and thoughts from everyone else...
Oops, could somebody move this?
you're probably better off just starting a new thread over there
STL once again lacks in power, but nowhere near as bad. Los Angeles, Toronto and KC seem to bring a lot of power to the plate, with 1B Greg Brock (21 HRs), defense sucktitude OF George Bell, and 3B George Brett, respectively. How will pitching work? I'm leaving it up for everyone to figure it out.
Edit: what should I improve on some teams? Look for Pat Sheridan on KC's bench this time around. Despite only hitting 3 HR's, I believe his power should be retained from 87 Detroit as he is an RBI hero. Bud Black vs. Dwight Gooden? At least the good news is there's no Matt Nokes in this RBI game.
Toronto's staff should be:
Doyle Alexander
Dave Stieb
Tom Henke
Bill Caudill
LA:
Fernando Valenzuela
Orel Hershiser
Ken Howell
Tom Niedenfuer
KC:
Bret Saberhagen
Charlie Leibrandt
Joe Beckwith
Dan Quisenberry
Hope that helps.
1983 / 1984
Blue Jays staff should definitely be:
Stieb
Key
Eichorn (mainly because he had an awesome '86 and he's a sidearmer)
Henke
Line Up should be:
C: Whitt
1B: Upshaw
2B: Garcia
SS: Fernandez
3B: Mullinicks
OF: Bafield, Bell, Moseby
B: Iorg
B: C. Johnson
B: B. Martinez
B: C. Fielder (or Manny Lee or Al Oliver - although he was gone after '85)
Aren't we trying to replicate the '85 Jays that went to the playoffs?

If thats the case, then it should be:
Stieb
Key/Alexander (its a toss up)
Lamp (he was long relief and went 11-0...he has to be included)
Henke
Line Up should be:
C: Whitt
1B: Upshaw
2B: Garcia
SS: Fernandez
3B: Mullinicks
OF: Bafield, Bell, Moseby
B: Iorg
B: Oliver
B: B. Martinez
B: C. Fielder/Burroughs/Matuszek (Fielder had less at bats, but he'd be a good guy coming off the bench)
i am putting together a ROM that will be the exact replica of the NES version
