Bastardo 28 Ult7 23

Bastardo never trailed in this game opening up a 20-10 lead in the 4th off a tiring Niekro.  Ult7 cut it to 22-20 in the 7th but that's as close as they got, wasting great effort by Tony Perez (4 HR 9 RBI) and Ande Dawson ARC (3 HR).  DiMaggio had 3 HRs and 7 RBIs for Bastardo

Bonny 16 Octo 14

Some strong pitching from Ryan and Gibson and 3 HRs from George Bell helped Bonny build a 16-7 lead before Octo got 7 in the 9th to make it close.  Everyone in the Dee Division is now 1-1

TBT 26 Other 18

TBT's offense found it's way scoring 18 runs off Don Sutton and eventually building a 26-12 lead, big games by NES Tigers Darrell Evans and Tom Brookens led the way and Bert Blyleven pitched a complete game.

I got slaughtered THREE TIMES during that game.

I hate Bucky Walters, and I especially hate slow ass un-clutch Jack Clark.

Gooden is inexplicably good, there are other pitchers with similar numbers but his Fantasy sucess is astounding, I still think it's a fluke.  I'll do stats tomorrow but he must lead the league in starters ERA by a good margin

Nomaa 18  Attez 7

Dwight Gooden pitched a phenomenal complete game holding Attez's offense in check and getting 2 HRs each from Frank Robinson, Jim Rice ARC, and Ernie Banks.  They were also able to capitilize on the 2 Attez errors scoring 6 unearned runs in the game.

But that was when you were fielding a team with appropriate number of infielders and outfielders.

actually, after drafting this team, i was thoroughly disappointed. but to think that the heart of the draft was done while i was in the district, it's not bad since a lot were proxy picks.
