Title: Bill Madlock on espn right now.
Post by: Attezz on 07/10/06, 10:04:35 PM
I enjoy these softball games far more than the derby.

He grounded out his first at bat.    Andre Dawson is up right now and John Kruk is managing one of these teams.  Any other RBI representation?

This makes me miss Rock and Jock Baseball.

My brother and I had Dave Parker walk over to us when we were 8 and 11 years old, we turned down his autograph, later on I got my picture taken with all the bullpen catcher's gear.

More than a few arcade RBIers are in this.

Who the hell is Marcus Giamatti?

Now that Kirby's gone, Dave Winfield is the greatest man alive.

My guess is that Marcus Giamatti is the son of Bart Giamatti (the commissioner that banned Pete Rose and promptly died).  That's a pretty lame celebrity to get into the game, though.

Why did you turn down Dave Parker's autograph?

Yeah that is really weak, was "superstar" Paul Giamatti busy?

I forgot all about the softball game, Lips/Pots and I watched some of the derby then we went into the fine art of TV calibration DVDs and XBox pinball.  Should have TIVO'ed it, maybe Potsie did...

Bill Madlock, or Mr. "I Get Suspended On A Regular Basis and Get Ten Games Because Of It." And Gantry: I'm surprised you forgot Madlock's infamous suspension of him poking HP Umpire Jerry Crawford after getting a called strike three with the bases loaded and getting suspended 15 games because of it.

Tony Gwynn's son was playing in the AAA all-star game earlier - he was 0-4 hitting
