I used the Angels to go easy on my friend. I won 11-6, and Reggie Jackson hit 3 massive bombs into the beautiful Bay Area twighlight, and one seed on a rope right down the rf line. Sutton went 4, Moore 2, and Witt 3 innings. It was a slugfest, but Witt calmed down BO in a hurry.
In the rematch against Det, CA wins 6-1 behind a strong six and one third by Witt. Corbett gave me solid midrelief work, and Sutton came in the last two throwing a good deal of knuckels mxed with hard stuff and normal speed fastballs.
SF went 6-1 and never gave up more than 2 runs in one game. The Giants pitching staff struck out at least 15 a game and managed to throw 2 shutouts, including a 2 hitter which left the powerful hitters of BO helpless and hopeless. The starting pitchers of Krukow and "big daddy" usually went 4 and 4 with the ninth going to Caveman Robinson. This effective lethal staff of SF was lights out, and the stats would overwhelmingly confirm that. SF never gave up more than 4 hits in any single game. Manager Darkside did not have much to say except for the usual " The force is strong in SF because will create our very own dynamic force that creates the actions that we visualise of before we step on the field and manifest our illusions and desires to play extremely close to perfection in every sense. We think deep, and we go deep becuase we can control certain elements of the force and harness it for short periods of time that it is availabe to us"
I used all the other teams and my only other loss was with Min in 13. I lost to BO and my relief simply got tired.
I was about 13-1 on my Bay Area swing. I even managed to avenge a heartbreaking loss years ago at the last Tourney against some of the best RBI'ers ever to appear on a tv screen.
Reggie Jackson is the best hitter ever. He has power at all angles, up or down in the box. He has one of the best inside out power in the game. He is also a great doubles hitter. 2 games, 4 jacks, one double, and Barry Bonds treatment after getting 5 consecutive hits. He has to be at least considered one of the best in the game as a pure hitter? What do you guys say?
you used the angels to go easy? have you ever heard of SF, NY, HO, or SL?
Reggie is truly one of the RBI elite. Although he seems to turn into Nokes when I play Ca. A winner is not me.
In watch play he is not clutch
What's his OPS+?
Sorry to say Darkside, but using the Angels isn't going easy on an opponent. That sounds like RBI newbie talk to me. I think that Ca is the best team on the game, though when I was more youthful, I thought that Dt was superior.

Ca is not the best team. Maybe the best hitting team, but Witt is the only legit pither on that staff. Sutton basically throws BP. Witt does have great stamina and if he can go 6, then Sutton and the pen are that much better cause I can then mix in some knuckles and hard shit to turn out the lights if I have a lead and not worry about them getting tired when I have three pitchers to work with in the last 3 or 4 innings. In my opinion, I like SF the best. They have 2 starters with great movement which keeps the hitters confused. Their hitting lineup is productive, scrappy, and have enough power to seal the deal. "It is not the bow, it is the indian" meaning that Darkside can master any team and win on a consistent level.
Maybe if you used CA with out using the bench...then they aren;t as great

Really! I did use Hou to go extra easy.
