By some mysterious writer who may or may not have alliances
Why are football games in the baseball category and hockey and golf games in the Basketball category. The author needs to have alliances with proper sub-headings.
baines has no alliances.
(and doesn't make a trip to see nomaaa)
baines sounds like an old codger pleading innocence on newer games.
baines referencing rbi and admitting to attending a national tournament to hundreds (thousands?) of readers = underrated.
So who won the National Tournament at Chicago Dee-Knee Fest? I'm guessing it wasn't Moses...
i bet baines expensed the trip.
Someone needs to have their MVP-hating ass kicked.
Bonny, git yer shovel!
Otherwise, I agree with every word written. . . . fantastic article, Matthew.
That writer kicks fucking ass.
"awful MVP gameplay"
???????
Thats just fucking insane.
One could argue that MVP is the best playing sports game ever.
Otherwise yes, great article.
Shit, I didn't know Baines was a sports writer. Excellent article.
i didn't give it much of a chance, but MVP sure did have ass gameplay from what little i played of it.
RBI, then Baseball Mogul for all time great baseball games. Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 and Baseball Stars get honorable mention. I almost added Griffey for 64 onto the list, but then i remembered how it started off incredibly easy, then by the end of the season every single game was 1-0 or 2-1 if you were lucky.

You may be retarded.
I will defend MVP to the death.
especially ncaa 2006. the hitting system is amazing.
nomaa, do you use the analog stick hitting system?
MVP will still be played 20 years from now. bonny and I will still be making rosters for it 20 years from now.
yeah. i finally like a game where you actually have to know how to hit to hit (i.e. wait on an outside pitch to drive it the other way, swing early on an inside pitch, etc.). it makes for a lot of good games. not to say i didn't have good games in mvp05, but in 06, i have to concentrate just as much on defense (also use the analog throw) to keep runners off the bases. i like a lower scoring game more than the slugfests i used to have on 05. plus, boston college is really fast, and i can base hit bunt like a champ. also, the all-strikes feature is great, in my opinion.
The fielding is what I love(on '05). Especially middle IFs.
Simple and intuitive.
it's been a while since i have played 05, but if i recall correctly, it's the same... just the analog throw is a little tougher, because you can miss wide or high or low, depending on where you hit the stick
Stay on track here, fuckers. Baines rules.

Yes, and so does MVP.
