Hey all, since I'm new here and don't really know anybody I thought I'd ask a couple of questions to see what players here prefer. Do most of you guys like playing curve ball or straight pitch? I'm going to assume everybody else is like me and also prefers playing another player versus playing the computer. Also does anybody institute their own "rules"? When I first started browsing the site I got a good laugh out of some of the variations that people use in the FAQ. Some of those were kinda funny.
My brother and I play curve ball almost exclusively. Though for the past 3 weeks or so we've been playing nothing but straight pitch, if only to try something new for a change. We don't have any special rules we use, though I rarely if ever use two of my starting pitchers. We basically just play heads up ball anything goes.
Straight pitch is the only way to go
SLURVE!
Curve and anything goes as far as pitching and bullpen goes. My style promotes winning with lights out pitching by getting the hitter to chase my shit pitches around the black.
Most of the time its "curve" with no-limitations on bullpen or starting pitcher usage. If we want to mix it up it is "curve" with only one pitcher for the whole game. Gets interesting in the late innings.
i like to lube the rbi cartridge and stick it places
i play curve. the only limitations we put into place are that you cannot use your 2nd starting pitcher unless the game goes into extra innings, and that the infield fly rule must be observed. also i prefer playing "series" style, so that you can't use your best pitcher all the time.
straight pitch is an excellent sedative
