Title: Burks

Free Agent Rumblings at the bottom of the article

Where is Burks going?

He got $7 million last year for 55 games.  He didn't do much to earn that money, so he should be taking a big pay cut as a free agent.

I hope he swallows his pride and takes the pay cut so he can retire with some dignity, rather than retiring because nobody will sign him.  He's still got some left in the tank.

Timmy will be signed, that's for sure...

I would like the Cards to sign him. Here is why.

1. Would be the invaluble guy to suprise lead off the game, then go 5 for 5 with 2 Hr and 3 doubles.

2. Clubhouse and big game experience.

Maybe we can somehow bag Armas for that late inning pinch hit roll as well.

3. Tim Burks is the most talented hitter from RBI Baseball still in the game

You think he's better than Galarraga?  I don't know.

That's not even close...at least in RBI.

But I think that Clemens is probably the best still around...both on the game and in the majors.
