Its me, Briznock, and rastein.
the Plan: We start at 2pm Saturday, and play until 2 pm Sunday.
the Rules: we play seven game sets, rotating one player out...and every once in a while maybe a fourth player to help with the pacing of the whole thing. Odd man out's job is to take pics? and post updates on dee nee. Teams will be done by complete random draw. No all star teams. ATG. (infield fly rule, no throwing junk to pitchers.)
We are figuring for around 80-90 games...and plan on maybe even keeping some book for a few games...we may even keep a fourth person around to solely keep book and score so we can figure out which player is most effective for the day.
We plan on this being an exciting day, and if any dee nee'ers would like to call and get updates, PM me for my phone number all day...
Didn't Strassy and I get a trademark on this or something? You stole our idea.
we stole it baby...
amd hey it isnt like you've been exactly on top of your marathon anyways...we set this up today...because we're pathetic and have nothing better to do...

Ours is likely to occur in the neighborhood of Aug. 21-25.
and it will be two people, which means no breaks, no subs...nothing but RBI. so suck it
Octo and I were going to attempt this as well near the end of the summer.
And GoReds, you think you're pathetic? I'm serously regretting the fact that I'm not going to be home this weekend to monitor this.
Maybe you should figure out all the match ups(teams) in advance to make it go faster
We will have a rotation set up in advance. But it doesn't really matter how quickly we go.... 24 hours is 24 hours is 24 hours.
I also just had the great idea of video taping every game. I assume that 24 hours of RBI would fit on a 4-pack of super long play tapes.....
24 hours = 24 hours, but if you only play 10 games, that doesn't exactly count. There needs to be a minimum number of games played. Assumming 20 minutes for each game, that is 3 an hour or 72 games in a 24 hour span. That doesn't take into consideration slaughters so that 72 game number is on the conservative side. I expect to see 85-100 games played...
I have to imagine this will get old fast
Right around game 18 you all will be like, "this royally sucks".
I could have fun for about 12 hours, at which point I'd start getting tired of it, that's my guess. If anyone could get 100 games in 24 hours that would be amazing
I don't think you understand the will power that we all have...... When it comes to shit that is awesome to us and doesn't matter to most people.
If our extra inning games stay at a minimum and we have a few slaughters, there is no reason that we couldn't reach 100.
I think they can do it. These are the same guys who have bet on the number of shits taken in a year and the shitter has been taking copius notes.
What's the plan for alcohol intake? I ask because I believe drinking too heavily early could kill your willpower. If you're serious about getting this accomplished, you might consider curbing the beer until late in the 24 hour span. Gatorade, gentlemen, gatorade.
Good luck to you. This is an excellent use of the available technology. I will be checking for updates often. Pics? are required, by the way.

Strassy and I have this figured out. 24 hours of Ho vs. SL.
I think we will also be getting a picture of a Lemonparty while playing RBI.....
I am pretty sure this needs to happen.

You are the same person that promised us a video of a BJ while playing RBI. I don't believe it until I see it.
I think I would make it about an hour in this experiment. 24 hours of video games would be tough enough, but 24 hours of one NES game would be brutal.
24 hours of that fkn music too. If we don't make it, it will be because all of our heads exloded.
I went ahean and took tommorow off of work solely for the purpose of not being tired too early...
I fully expect this to be completely awesome...and to royally suck ass...
I give my full compliments to Nacho and Strassy for the whole idea of marathon RBI.
I think we can definitely turn on the old radio to listen to, so the RBI music doesnt eat away at my ear drums.
My predictions for tommorow...
1. I will win the mojority of games I play....I would be willing to say 66%.
2. My brain will be completley melted by hour four.
3. Someone at some point is going to have a major accomplishment. (possibly a pitcher HR? Likely no-hitter/perfect game.)
and
4. Reggie Jackson will pull a hard hit liner directly to the right fielder 100 times.
be sure to have sufficient lighting as to not not cause any eye fatigue. if you have have two tv's and two nes's then you may want to try to use them both alternating between the two so that your eyes have a chance to adjust to somehting else to lessen the eye strain. have eyedrops as well.
be sure to take long enough shifts to allow the extra person to rest during the time off. maybe two hour intervals? or four hour intervals?
has there been any research into this type of thing? i'm sure there's got to be some documentation out there of a similar feat.
so how should one warm-up for this type of event? eat pasta the night before? play an inning or two just prior to the event?
i still don't like this "resting" or "rotating" idea. nacho and i will do it by ourselves with no breaks. right now my goal is to keep going to 100 even after the 24 hours are over. i will finish against the computer if possible.
by the way, let's pray that i don't get offered a job before August 10th. i have had some interviews and if they give me an offer by then, it may interfere with this grand idea.
No playing the computer......
If you want to do it just the 2 of you... go ahead. But no computer games. 2 humans playing for 24 straight hours.
Quote from: Strassy on 08/04/06, 03:35:11 PM
by the way, let's pray that i don't get offered a job before August 10th.
More than just my regular nightly prayers of that?
pray very hard for me to get offered a new job on about August 11th.
and briznock, i wouldn't be playing vs the computer in the initial 24 hours. but let's say nacho sallies out after 24 hours (there's a stretch) but i still have a little bit left in the tank. if we are at 95 games or so by then...i would be all for taking the last 5 down myself, just to say i made it to 100.
We should then give all the credit to Nacho and have him forever treated as if he was Magellan.

i am so pumped about this. this is gonna be great. nate and i ahve done a 7 hour rbi mnarathon once. bathroom breaks and tht was all. i have no clue how many games we played in that span. we were very weary though. played from 3 pm to 10 pm.
with a 3rd or 4th guy im positive they could do this. the extra guy could sleep for a couple hours here and there. realistically i think u need at least 3 guys to pull it off.

now he'll be able to get into that country club he's always dreamed about.
My mental preparation began tonight with a few High Lifes and Shark week on discovery....which soon got changed to Heathers.
I feel good, confident....there is no doubt in my mind that we'll knock out 24 hours like nothing...
Expect pics? and blogging around 2pm eastern, we'll try and give score updates and insight into each players mental status every hour or two.
Jim is in the eastern time zone.....this stuff should be happening right now.
just got a update via phone. they are 1 hour into it, and at the time in the 8th inning of game # 4. all random selections, and st louis has been picked each time.
its on fools...its on!
7 games in and my first series os over...
I am 2-5...and only had one solid offensive team, Ca, who got shutout.
Scores so far...
game 1 - 1 -0 SF (goreds) over Stl (Briz)
game 2 - 3-1 Stl (b) over SF (g) Tudor CG
game 3 - 2-0 Stl (b) over Ca (g) Cox CG
game 4 - 4-1 Stl (g) over Mn (b)
game 5 - 4-1 Bo (b) over Mn (g)
game 6 - 4-3 Sf (b) over Ho (g) Mitchell walkoff HR
game 7 - 6-4 Bo (b) over NY (g) Hurst CG
My pitching is off, so a break should be nice....Briznock had some solid matchups too as I played with Houston and NY. Stl has been afire with Vince and Ozzie scoring alot of runs...
For the first two hours everyone seems to be quite happy and genuinely excited still.
Things are starting to slow, stein doesnt feel like playing as much...Brock is still going strong on his 13th in a row.....I'm ready for more. We are only 3 1/2 in, and things are going to be rough....
stiny, get me a danish!
do a two hour rotation where you only play for a maximum of four hours and then get two hours off.
player a = two hours
player b= 4 hours
player c= off
player a= 2 hours
player b= off
player c= 4 hours
player a = off
player b = 4 hours
player c= 2 hours
repeat.
My second set of 7 games is over....
I was Visitor all 7 and Stein was Home for the first 6 and Andy was home for the last game of the set.
I went 6-1 since stein is not really into it.
Dt 6 (B) - NY 5 (D) I was down 4-1 in the top of the 9th
Ca 12 (B) - Dt 2 (D) 5 innings
Dt 6 (D) - Mn 3 (B)
Sl 6 (B) - Ca 0 (D)
Sl 8 (B) - Ny 1 (D)
Ho 6 (B) - SF 5 (D)
CA 10 (B) - Sl 0 (A) 6 innings
I am pitching really well and getting some pretty good hits. I had 2 opposite feild doubles with Reggie Jackson which is a rarity. Already 2 walzies today and 4 CG pitched. (Tudor 2, Cox, Hurst)
GoReds forgot to add that I had a King-Kong Mitchell walk off homer in the 6th game of our set.
Pics? will be posted shortly....

i guess they're at GoReds house. That would explain the Cub license plate above the TV.
Truly awesome.
Nice giant shit stain in front of the door...use the toilet, guys...c'mon!
we are at Stein's house...and we have had several visitors...but we've subbed a buddy Andy in for Stein and I guess they are interloping with Briz and I....Names for pics? Im the tubby long hair. Stein is wearing yellow shirt....Brock is the one in his boxers...(no completely naked yet.) and Andy is in red shirt.
I just finished an 11 game set with brock and Andy scores went as follows...
11 - 1 Ca (g) over Mn (a) (7 innings)
2 - 0 Ca (g) over Bo (a)
1 - 0 Ho (g) over Mn (a) (nolan CG 15 Ks)
3 - 1 SF (B) over Bo (g) (Darrel Evans was thrown out at first from right field)
10 - 0 Dt (g) over NY (b) (7 innings)
5 - 2 SF (b) over Ny (g)
6 - 3 Ca (b) over NY (g)
2 - 0 Ho (b) over SF (g) (Nolan CG)
1 - 0 Ca (g) over SF (a) (16 innings)
13 - 4 NY (g) over MN (a) (Gooden CG)
I've noticed errors are killing my teams so far....Brock is pitching extremely well today...and NY is the worst hitting team in the game. 24 games down. I'm 8-9 so far and Im not terribly happy with my performace...

In case everyone is wondering, I'm despising this right now. AND I hate Go Reds
up close jim looks like kidrock!
they are 31 games into the fray. and close to 8 1/2 hours i believe. not sure they can hit 100, but 85 should be do-able.
yall know this means that next year we try to do 48 str8 hours of RBI.
ha, Jim is way to clean looking to be kid rock.
BOOYAH UPDATE
33 games down.....And my pitching is on point.
We have hit a serious snag.... longer games and not enough slaughters of the weak opponents and a few things taking our minds off the game have cost us. The Nintendo is working great and looks to last the rest of the way. Overall records right now....
Briznock (24-4)
GoReds (8-11)
Andy (0-12)
Stein (1-6)
There have been the following
- 8 CG's
- 2 HR game out of The Grinch
- 1-0 16 inning affair between Ca (GoReds) and Sf (Andy)
- 2 9th inning comebacks (both by me)
- 15 K performance by Ryan
- Vince Coleman walzie
- Tudor and Cox combined for a one hitter and 18 K's
- DaEvan got thrown out by the right fielder
- 6 Solo Homers by 6 different players on SF in one game

this hasn't worked out, yet, but the night is still young!
My pitching so far has been less than good...PLus Brock has finally started to slow down and is the first to take a nap....stein and andy are playing and Stein has gotten himself in a bit of a better mood, and he is picking up his first game in like six or seven hours...if he picks up his pace....we'll conquer this thing easily.
Last six games are as follows...
8 - 4 SF (b) over Bo (g) (SF had 6 solo HRs)
4 - 2 Mn (b) Over SF (g)
2 -1 Mn (G) over Ca
5 - 0 Mn (g) over Ho (a)
5 - 3 Bo (a) over SF (g)
3 - 1 Ho (g) over DT (a)
I finally started felling like I was hitting my corners with minnesota...I expect somewhere around 80 games...Brock was complaining about some eye ache, and I'm getting a bit of a sharp headache, but I'll tough it out...I'm not stopping after ten hours.
37 down in about 10 hours...pace slowed but the last few games went quickly.
more pics...
1. Stein enjoying his first game in a few hours.
2. Brock in a well needed nap. (hes been a powerhouse for the first half..I expect things to slow down from here.
3. Drawing teams.
4. Me after a partucularly costly error. (I look evil)
This is most solid. Having 4 people and not 2, while still a great feat, is not the same. If Nacho and Strassy can pull off a 24 hour marathon by themselves, that will be the ultimate accomplishment.
Good luck to those involved during the wee hours of the night, but it is 1230 here, just got home and going to sleep.
And make sure to get some pics of pranking someone while they sleep. ..
Its been near 13 hours, and we're definitely hitting the wall right now....no doz is wearing off and cofee isnt working...we still have games going on...and I can guarantee no two man team could possibly do this...
6 - 4 SF (S) over Bo (a)
7 - 6 Mn (a) over Dt (d)
4 - 3 Ca (a) over Ho (d)
10 - 0 Mn (b) over Ho (a)
8 - 2 Dt (b) over Bo (b)
4 - 0 Mn (j) over Ho (B)
11 - 1 Ca (j) over Bo (b)
10 - 0 Ca (b) over Sl (j)
4 - 3 SF (j) over Ca (b) (10th inning walkoff for Chili davis off donnie moore, who then killed himself, in front of his family)
10 - 0 Dt (b) over Bo (j) (we tried making your opponents lineup, but I didnt know we could change pitchers)
the odds are looking long as Brock and I are pretty much the only ones wanting to play now.

An 11 inning game in which I hit a walk off with Heep then 16 inning affair between Stein and I. 34 hits and only 3 runs. Candy man walk off single in the bottom of the 16th wins it for me.
Updated standings through 50
Briznock 31-7
GoReds 14-14
Stein 2-9
Andy 3-20
We are through 55 games/
I just woke up from a solid nap-a-roo.
last 4 games:
7 - 5 stl (S) over Mn (B)
1 - 0 Ny (b) over sf (d) Heep walk off in 11
2 - 1 sf (b) over Ho (d) Candy walkoff single in 16. combined 34 hits
3 - 1 Dt (d) over Sl (b) Tommy Herr hr

75 games down..... 2 and a half hours to go.
Briznock 46-14
GoReds 18-21
Stein 6-13
Andy 5-27
I have continued to come through when it counts having about 6 9th inning comebacks
20-8 vs GoReds.... I am starting to think I am in a league of my own
I will do some stat compiling with our finsih book and hopefully get those up soon..
Last 7 games.
8-3 Dt (B) over Mn (A) Doyle CG
2-1 Dt (A) over Ho (B)

This is unfucking real. Fucking awesome, well done guys. No way I could pull this off.

HOLY SHIT
nice pussy
that is a sexy pic...mangina, and some manboobs. well, looks liie its time to add some more to my jug.
30 minutes to go....Game 83 on right now....Brock and Stein playing some really hardcore do or die type games...I'm awfully wired for sleeping about eight minutes.
I just finished my final game. I'm a little disappointed, actually. I was in a gigantic grumpy mood yesterday and it really brought down my RBI excitement. Most of my games yesterday were me throwing meat pitches and then bunting when i got up to bat. Luckily I gained back the spirit and put in a good effort after my nap. Five minutes to go....Jim and Brock are playing in the final game. We may keep going....
how many games are they gonna complete in the 24 hours?
Game 84 ends at 2:01 PM. 24 official hours. And it was one of the best games played. Go REds is NY against Briznock as DET. NY is up 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th and Det wins it with a walk off Matt Nokes HR 3-2. Even better is that JIm HATES HATES HATES Matt Nokes with a passion. This could not have ended any better for the rest of us. A great game, Jim is grumpy, and we did it. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
the best quote from jim by far "tengen feild was burnt into out retina's"
he also said when they called at around 8:30 eastern that they were fkn loopy as hell. also seemed like the music started to get to them pretty bad as well.
this should rank up there with most any other great dee-nee achievement!
I just walked in my house...a disappointing end to a great 24 hours. either Brock or Stein should give some full team stats...I played the worst RBI I have played in easily four to five years, and still had a great time....What killed me was the five game losing streak around 8AM...it killed what mementum I had been building....Brock's pitching was great and he benfitted from a little more sleep than I had...
I had the most fun trying different lineups, and pitching matchups...I wasnt hitting my corners and by the end was making some bad decisions fielding the ball. I'm pretty certain I ended with a sub .500 record because I think I was a horrid 8-21 against Brock but way over .500 against everyone else..
NY has proven themselves as the worst team in RBI. They have no pop, and Strawberry cant carry the team. Their Bench is ass and their lefty pitchers arent as effective as I used to think they were....you cant out power or out manufacture anyone with them... Houston provided alot of surprises, and I thikn their pitching carries them over as a middle tier team...Lopes hitting leadoff means good speed and power, they can manufacture alot of runs on pure speed alot like Stl.
well kids, I'm gonna hit the hay for a bit I think...thanks everyone for the well wishings, and especially Brad for listenening to my slap happy ass around 8 or 9 am when I was nearly completely insane.
congratulations guys.
Well done.

Tucked in or tucked out?
all I can say is wow
quite an accomplishment - this should have been a documentary "The 24 Hours of RBI"
I think that the most amazing thing over the entire 24 hours.... Is that the Nintendo did not screw up after the initial rain out. It was on for 24 consecutive hours and never messed up. Truly amazing since we thought we were in for it after a 2nd inning rain out to start the marathon.
the nintendo held up amazingly well...especially considering Stein's dog Auggie is a complete nincompoop and has more energy than 1000 jackrabbits.

TRULY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Seriously.
Note to self: 24 hour RBI baseball marathon creates gayness.
I can't fathom what kind of gayness is in store for Strassy and Nacho.
briznock was clearly a feral child.
First, Jim, my dog's name is spelled Augie. Ass. He's named after the greatest utility middle infielder ever, Augie Ojeda. And actually he has more energy than 1004 jackrabbits.
Second, Briznock was actually raised by a pack of homosexual male wolves. It's an interesting story, ask him about it sometime.
Third, I would also like to praise my nintendo for holding up so well. It doesn't look pretty (has no door on it thanks to a thrown controller in a fit of RBI rage..) but damned if it didn't do the job. Thankfully we had 3 backup systems in the house. Along with about 5 extra controllers. I'm still amazed we did it.
i believe the NES is capable of holding up for a lot longer than 24 straight hours, especially since you were resetting it after every game. friday night I was playing Super Mario 2 and left it on pause when I left to go out. I didn't come back to it until last night around 10 PM. Amazingly, it never screwed up, and I ultimately ran out of continues at level 6-2. however, another time it froze up when I paused Faxanadu in order to eat lunch...the NES does indeed move in mysterious ways.

Are you F'ING serious? He is by FAR my favorite player. Not of all time...that's obviously Ryne Sandberg... do you have old yearbooks and stuff with him in them? This information absolutely blows my mind...I've got a game used bat of his...autographed cards..my picture with him in Indy a few years ago. You're a good man --- gay or not.
Augie is scrappy. . .like scott skiles without the talent.
scott skiles is great in nba jam
I'll never forget one time in extra innings of a Cubs game, Augie came up in a crucial situation and got hit by a pitch, and Ron Santo shouts out "YES", and then quickly said something like, oh, I hope he's OK, but I'm glad he got on base, I almost had to pull the car over.
Funny, but the wrigley faithful would boo the likes of Jacque Jones, LaTroy Hawkins, and Sammy Sosa; but they chanted "augie! augie!" for Ojeda.
he may only hit .200, but he does it from both sides of the plate and he can field like no other.

That's because those other guys sucked balls. Augie cares about the purity of the game, playing it right. They only cared about money. The world would be a better place with more Octavio "Augie" Ojeda's...
GoReds, you may hate me; but I don't hate you.
I like Augie, but he sucks much more than Jones, Hawkins, and Sosa. . . . . .okay, I'm done. . . .no more Cubfanity.
I must say I am sure glad I took the time to read this entire thread.

okay, unlocked...but the cubs talk needs to go somewhere else...
and ryno, I hate cubs fans as a whole not individually...and it mostly stems from the fact that none of them can NOT talk about the stupid fkn cubs.
This thread is a perfect example....the mention of Augie Ojeda. a player who couldnt even play 200 games in four years for the shitty Cubs somehow spawned like fifteen memory posts as if it was Barry Larkin we were talking about.....Augie sucked/sucks as a MLB'er...end of story.

I can't look at Ryno's AWESOME aviator and not think Jody Davis.
Hey everybody..... Lets get this back on track. I am currently making a quick little Excel spreadsheet at work and hope to have some stats up tonight. Possibly this afternoon if it is slow enough here.
I can't believe that I missed this entire thread, was in Ohio over the weekend for a wedding and was Internet-less. This is amazing shit boys...
I feel gantry's presence in this thread has putt he stamp of approval on the first RBI marathon...
I wish the best of luck to Nacho and Strassy...but I warn you....it's going to be the toughest 24 hours of your life..and gets lots of variation in your games...because we didnt shake things up for 20 hours or so, and then played a few HR derby games, and an couple All Star games I think...So I added little variations like letting Sullivan hit and changes in lineups, because everyone likes when Spike Owen gets on base.
I'm telling you, choose your opponents sub is a great way to mix it up...

I think that 24 hours of Ho vs. SL is not only all the excitement we need, but it also will be the only way to fit in an entire 100 games in 24 hours.

We tried this Gantry...it led to mass confusion about what the rules should be....Would it be Kosher to sub out for the pitcher intentionally knowing your opponent only has a certain amount of pitchers? Also who decides on when to take a pitcher out...The one we tried I kept Clemens in because I didnt know I was allowed to take him out, and gave up 7 or 8 runs...What about subbing a player out four times to just completly eliminate your opponents bench? I need further information.

What part of OH? I'll choke you if you say Columbutt!
Hey Jim, remember when the Reds traded for Gary Majewski and he got hurt? Remember when they traded for Bill Bray and he gave up lots of runs, including an RBI hit to DAVID ECKSTEIN.
I too agree that Ryno's avatar reminds me of Jody Davis...kinda odd. Maybe it's because I used to have 4999 cards of him in that bright blue jersey.
For all those interested, Wrigley Field has a capacity of 41,118 and was built in 1914.
The Baseball Hall of Fame has 37 members who at one time played for the Cubs. Of those 37, 13 played the majority of their games with the Cubs.
Quote from: rastein on 08/09/06, 11:26:25 PM
For all those interested, Wrigley Field is a homosexual hangout and was built in 1914.
Another interesting Cubs fact....in 1935 Augie Galan had 646 at bats and never grounded into a double play. That's the Cubs single season record. The record for most GIDP is held by Ron Santo with 27 in 1973.
Billy Williams holds 6 major single season batting records for a Cubs left-handed hitter, including hits (205), HR(42), RBI(129), extra base hits (80), total bases (373), and slugging % (.606)
In 1984 Rick Sutcliffe sets a Cubs single season record for winning % with at least 10 decisions by going 16-1. He also won 14 consecutive games that year, also a Cubs record!!
And FINALLY, the most important thing...this year the Cubs OWN the Reds with a record of 8-4 against the lowly, faggoty, Ken Griffey Jr -having, bad-trade making Reds.

i thought i left you a pm before, but i probably forgot.
thank you so much for all your help. the t is obviousyl the way to go. unfortunately, we didn't know this the last time we were in boston. one of the hotels you suggested had a discount for those visiting bc, so that was great, we got like half off the room price.
i loved boston college. i initially though the location would be lame, but once we got there, it was great. it's just outside the city, it's almost like boston ends and chestnut hill begins. plus, there's a t that puts you right at the bottom of the hill. the campus was fantastic, lots of very old and very new buildings. if they accidentaly think i'm worthy to go there, it's my definate first choice.
Quote from: nomaaa on 08/10/06, 02:23:29 PM

Work on the spelling and they'll take you
plus, everyone in boston was really great. the first time we got on the t, we didn't have any tokens, so one lady just gave us three of hers. plus, another lady (who was "ironically" from pittsburgh and graduated from my sister's college) helped us with changing lines when we had to. once we figured it out, it's relatively simple transit system. the sox game was great, as ortiz hit a grand slam bomb into our section (right above the triangle).
i'm trying to type fast, bub.
if you had trouble doing boston's transit system don't ever go to nyc. boston's was fairly simple, even compared to philadelphia and washington, dc in my opinion.

we didn't really have trouble, we just didn't know what to expect.
pittsburgh doesn't really have a subway. they only use it to get from the main city to the suburbs. it's all buses. once we figured out how to pay and the like, it was very easy.
The T is easy...just look out for smelly people

YAY me!
I just reread the whole thread and finished a furious beatoff session to Briznock's mangina. Good stuff here.
i still fail to see how this is as good as nacho and i playing 65 games straight and going for the gold. there were 3 guys, so someone was always resting, and they took fkn naps! i think any 3 dee-nee'ers could do this at any time.

Hey man I still give you both major props for giving it a shot. There's no way I'd last that long. But you did talk smack on this thread before attempting, didn't pull it off and then strassy posts again saying your "feat" was better. No way dude, you tried valiantly but failed. Still respect what you tried but you aren't going to get any love on this thread...
The plan was doomed from the start, really. I had just moved here, we actually went to a hotel rather than set something up at my new place, got a late start, etc.
Maybe we need to give this another shot...
That's so many fkn games dude, you'd be nuts to try that again. Given no breaks for food or anything is a tough feat. Maybe # of games in 24 hours or something. I don't think I could do anything for 24 hours straight...
I think by game 50 or so, the music was really becoming a burden upon our sensibilities...
I guarantee Briznock and I can pull off another 24 hour marathon...Just the two of us.
At the very least you should have other folks there to cheer you on and/or encourage. Maybe allow subs for 3 innings at a time or something, to keep your sanity...

This weekend....
I dont think I have anything else to do....
but we need someone to post scores/updates if we're going for 100 games in 24 hours.
Me neither!!!
Lets do it. We can recruit Andy/Dick/my brothers and anyone else to stop in and watch and post updates. Short posts and game notes won't hinder our time too badly. One of us can make short notes while the other guys sets up the next game.
allright, if it is about achieving goals...my goal is to play a game of RBI this week. once i pull off this incredible achievement, i will reference my awesome accomplishment for years to come. it will be one of the most glorious moments in human history. i guess the moral here is "set the bar low, that way you don't look bad when you fail"
also, if nacho wants to try again, i will try again as well. there is no way we could have a worse setup than we did last time. and if we want to do a 3 way with attabobble, i would be willing to give that a shot as well. but then we should play for 25 hours or something.
Strassy is bitter about his own failures.
