Ran across a glitch today. Playing BOS (me) vs CAL. Runner on 1st, I hit a single & get the runner to third. My opponent throws the ball to third, so I run to second to start the old double steal play. He throws to second, so I send the guy home. A little rundown ensues. He tags the runner out between 1st & 2nd, for the third out. HOWEVER I continue running home & a split second AFTER the third out, the runner hits home plate & the computer counts it.
Never seen that one before, but I'm sure it wouldn't be THAT hard to replicate (like a pitcher over the wall HR).
gantry.....you got to get on this glitch.
Can anyone else confirm this? (AKA bump)
Mike
Run scoring after third out recorded: confirmed.
I've been hesitant to post this since my memories are getting fuzzy and this happened a long time ago, but here are 2 glitches I haven't heard anyone else mention:
1) This one I am convinced happened, there was a foul ball popup near the stands, FOUL was called, but I stayed there and 1st basemen leaned into the stands and caught it and the guy was called OUT.
2) This one I am less sure of and think it may have been RBI 2 or possibly a different baseball game.
- Game called batter out on infield fly rule. Runners on 1st and 2nd with no one out and when the ball landed on the infield the batter was called OUT. I have never seen since, which is why I think maybe it was a different game
I've seen a few glitches like that where a fly ball is near the stands. A couple weeks ago I popped one up and my opponent caught it standing against the bleachers, not a dive or a lean but in the straight up "Statue of Liberty" position and it called it foul. What made it even more fucked up was that I hit a bomb on the next pitch.
I think it may possibly be RBI 2 or 3 with the infield fly rule. I don't play either one enough to be sure though.

The strange thing about mine was they still called the batter OUT, even after FOUL appeared
I can tell you for sure that RBI 2 and 3 don't have the infield fly rule. I'll have to check out Marquis' glitch sometime, though; I'm kinda surprised I haven't seen it before.

Game called batter out on infield fly rule.
What game has this rule? Do they allow only one base on an overthrow? What's their stance on ghost runners? And do they play pitcher's hand?

Yeah, that is pretty crazy. I don't think I've seen that before.
Another glitch that I just remembered happened about a month ago. I gave up a blast to Armas, not anywhere the foul pole, closer to the lights than anything. About the time it would have landed outside the stadium we heard the "bop" sound and the screen shifted. Then nothing happened, it never called a home run, the ball apparently was sitting in the parking lot somewhere, but still considered a live ball. So basically Armas rounded the bases (which took forever) for a home run anyway but it was the first time I had ever seen anything like it. I've seen a lot of crazy shit from this game over the years but this was a new one.
This happened against me last week. I was up 9-8 when it happened. Luckily I pulled out the win. Good to be able to pull this up and see karma balancing out, since I was the beneficiary a few months ago.
Mike
Yeah I think this happened to me on Saturday, scored a run on the double steal, it seemed like the tag was first and then the run scored.
Yes, I believe I was a witness to this happening Saturday. Happened against my roommate earlier in the year too... he went apeshit because my run counted.
