Anybody know of any upcoming RBI curve tournaments? I'm going to the one in Chicago in late June but was hoping for another one this year. I need to make some jack.
What, are you a professional RBI player?
You mean you need to get jacked.
Both.
So who is playing in Beales' Tournament
I just signed up
mfriley
GlassJoe
Beales, obviously
Well you have to take into account that a good % of the board only plays straight pitch
Also I know there is a list on the site, but I don't know who of those people actually participate on the board
I wish I could talk trash here, but unfortunately I can't. 7-8 years ago I would have been all over it, I thought I was probably the best RBI player in the world. But In the last 7 years I have rarely played other people and I also have played exclusively 1 starting pitcher rule. I think being able to use all pitchers is going to take some getting used to. While my confidence is not high right now, I hope to be ready come June

Well, if it makes ya feel any better, ultimate, mfriley33 and I have been playing 1 SP per game for the last 15 years or so...we're gonna make the necessary adjustment--I'm sure you can, too.
Well I hope so, and I hope to see you in June, in the finals
mfriley33:
This is the only upcoming R.B.I. curve tournament that is open to the public. I've had a couple other players out in California and New England e-mail me about potential tournaments that they'd like to get started. I offered to help in any possible way that I could, but no word back from them yet. Besides, why are you looking elsewhere? This tournament decides the Champion of the Universe... what more could you possibly ask for?
ultimate7:
Those participating in the tournament and also members of the forum include:
DXXPAC321 - Jeff Bandur
SmokedUBad13 - Mike Beales
jcbball86 - Jim Callan
BBan7700 - Brendan Clarke
glassjoe - JC
HoJoFan - Colin Foster
russellcox - Joey Freedman
Ozzy364 - Jason Kazmierczak
ultimate7 - GL
mfriley33 - MR
to state the obvious... Bandur (VP of the COTUT), Beales (myself, President), and Kazmierczak (Head Supervisor) are the current supervisors (aka refs) and full-time members of the COTUT.
glassjoe:
You're absolutely right. There is alot of tough-talk on this board. Just keep in mind that the true, hardcore players are going to be in the Third COTUT. Our lineup is spectacular so far with players from Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, Florida, Texas, and Arkansas. I'm hoping that the "Hammer of the Gods" guys in California are considering entrance as they said they were. Also hoping for one more from Florida and one more from Texas.
