Title: Yankees mauled by Tigers
Post by: GreatScott on 10/07/06, 07:00:19 PM
Wow gary sheffield is the worst 1b I have ever seen.  Cant field ground balls, dropping DP balls, basket catches, doing a split everytime he reaches for a ball coming from the left side of the infield!  Arod getting shipped to god knows where ... Houston? Arizona?  Guy making 255 million batting EIGHTH.  If thats not baseball biggest FU i dont know what is.

Getting to the point where I'm starting to actually feel bad for the Yankees.  They are slowly but surely turning into the 96-05 Braves, making the playoffs every year only to get destroyed year after year.  As a mets fan i should be relishing this but I'm not.  Its a royal clusterfuck pure and simple.  Mark my words, donny baseball is the first to be sent off ... likely late tonight or early tomorrow.  random ramblings, blah balh

Torre will most likely resign.  I hope they hire Girardi over Pinella.  Keep Donnie Baseball and Louisiana Lightning.

Why is this in the RBI forum?

Why is this in the RBI forum?

Yeah Joe Dirt, like the RBI forum never rambles off topic.  At least these aren't completely inside jokes.

As far as Yanks go, no one will take K-Rod's contract.  Donnie Baseball is so popular he might get the managerial job.  Torre has to go.  I am so sick of his bs.  Enough is enough.

In real baseball, just like RBI, pitching pitching pitching.  When the Yanks won 4 out of 5 they could barely score runs, but they pitched.  The Yankees had a 200 million+ payroll and ended up with Jarett Wright starting in an elimination game.   For shame.

Yeah, it gets off topic, but at least it has something to do with RBI.

I say Cashman is the one who must go...it doesn't take a genius GM to get all star FAs...it takes a genius GM to draft studs and make trades that actually help (short and long term)...

We can't get Phillip Hughes to NY fast enough...

As Seinfeld says, baseball fans root for laundry (the uniform).  I'm sitting there watching last night and thinking "Am I really rooting for Randy Johnson (beat Yanks in '01), Damon ('04), Giambino (won postseason game with A's at stadium don't remember yr), and A-Rod (see Giambi comment)?"  Just like Boggs and Clemens.  What a joke baseball has become.  I do not feel bad about this team losing at all.  They aren't really a Yankee team.

they should switch to a better fabric blend for their uniforms.  also, this thread should be locked.

Eh, I'll allow it.  The RBI Board is WAY behind in posts.  It's baseball or something, just don't make a big habit of it...

Thanks for the latitude Gantry.  Let me also point out Boggs and Clemens were mentioned.  These guys are RBI Red Sox, and I play RBI all the time, hence I think of them as Red Sox, hence as a Yankee fan I can't root for them, hence my point re: rooting for the laundry.
