Title: 5 most underrated
Post by: Reds on 10/12/06, 07:15:44 AM
5.  Rob Wilfong - Very solid hitter, especially late innings....very clutch.

4.  Chris Speier - Good power, perfect for late inning heroics.

3.  Don Baylor - the best hitter on a solid lineup, but no one ever really gives him his respect around here.

2.  Mike Scott - Underrated only because he is awesome...and I dont think it can be stated enough...

1.  Lee Mazzili - In close games, bottom of the ninth, he seems to come through everytime.  he's like your own personal Ortiz on the bench waiting for a chance to hit a walkoff every game.

He did finish 2nd in the puhl for who you'd most want at the plate

5. Tom Brookens.  As much power as anyone in the game.  I don't care what the supposed emulator "ratings" say.
4. I'm Keith Hernandez.  Kills me.  You have to pitch to him due to protection and as a result he is murder.
3. Jim Lindeman.  Put him in the 3 spot for Hur, and all of a sudden you have a better than serviceable 1-4.
2. Bob Ojeda.  Incredible breaking stuff, moves in on righties.
1. Bob Stanley.  His breaking stuff is as good as there is, and he has stamina to get 6 outs.  Steamer is why the Bosox are better than DT/CA.

Hon mention.  One flap down Jeffrey Leonard.  Why he gets so mf'd on this site routinely puzzles me.

I think the membership as a whole is fairly pro-Leonard, I know I am, a very good hitter for SF.

Maybe it's MItchell and Candyman that get mf'd.  That whole SF 2-5 is devastating.

OK I just figured out that JoeDirt is making fun of me for having a run on sentence (Not using periods), doesn't matter I'm gonna keep on doing it.

Hey Joey Dirt, since when do big black squares equal periods?  I had just figured it was an inside joke from guys who lived in Iowa.

I don't care what he did.  They look like squares so he should have edited.

Now I have a Badger game to watch so leave me alone.

Sconny looks great today against Minnesota.  UW schedule is so easy this year (no OSU or MSU).  Wisc could win 10 games due to favorable schedule.  They could beat Penn State at home.

Pat Sheridan's worthlessness is vastly underrated.  So, I'd say that he's underrated.
