Title: ROM RBI
Post by: lancemeister2006 on 10/20/06, 01:29:25 PM
There are a lot of posts that go on this message board about RBI Baseball in ROM format or something, forgive me, but I'm completely clueless on this, I have no idea what it is, I'd like to get it on it, it sounds cool, but I want to know if there's certain equipment you have to have for it or if any PC will work.  Sounds like there's a 30 team league or something, if I could download it and learn how to play it, I'd love to be in on it.  Someone please explain how this all works, if possible, or send me a link to another thread that explained it for dummies like me.

FAQ Question: How do I play RBI Baseball on my PC? (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/faq.shtml#CPU)

There is a ROMs link off the main Dee-Nee page that has a bunch of custom versions of RBI with different teams and players.  Also, there have been a couple of updated versions of RBI 3, if that's something that would interest you; I don't think they've made the ROMs page, but I could probably find the forum threads if you're interested.

All R.B.I. ROMs can be played with an emulator program for the P.C. or (among other things) can be converted to a format on a CD that a Sega Dreamcast can read and play.

I've burned CDs with over 100 ROMs from the old NES system (sue me for copyright infringement, okay). Over half of these ROMs are R.B.I. seasons or team compilations based on R.B.I. (the original and favorite), R.B.I. 2 and R.B.I. 3 games from Tengen.

I do own those three for my NES I recently purchased (for $15.00 plus $10.00 for new 72-pin connector so the games will boot all the time).

Sorry I'm rambling. Hope that helps a little bit.

Like the previous post, the Dee-Nee site helped me with all of this.

Long Live R.B.I.
