Option 4: Nobody defiles Jim Rice

Option 5: Who is Dwight Evans?

Option 6: wumpst

November 3 is the birthdays of Dwight Evans (11/3/1951 - 55) and Larry Herndon (11/3/1956). One is a good righty (a rarity), the other is a target of a pinch hitter. Happy birthday to both of them (Lobster Cut Herndon turns the big 5-0).
What do you rank Dwight Evans, 1-8 with the Boston Red Sox? 1 is best, 8 is horrible (Spike Owen horrible). This is besides pinch hitters, so sorry Tony Armas Sr. and Ellis Burks.
Edit: I changed the puhl to reflect the version and I reset the votes because of the changed puhl question.
i guess i'd rank evans #2 behind burks, although baylor is awesome too. i'ts close, but i'd have to give it to dwight.
Wow. I can't believe that. I can't rank Evans ahead of Rice, Baylor, Burks, or Armas...
evans has the highest power out of anyone on bo. i have burks above evans because of his speed. baylor is almost there with evans becuase of baylors speed. rice is below all 3 guys coming in fourth just ahead of armas.

Agreed. He is a major part of a damn good lineup though...
This applies to the eight position players, not the bench players. Don't ask me why, but this is a tribute to the one, who requested a trade in a fantasy league, Mr. "I Need Pitching Help," and here's a picture of him, if that's not enough.

He usually goes yard for about one or two times, or gets key doubles (the fielding AI for the computer is horrible in this game)
Great puhl velair but with so many folks on that BoSox lineup I would say you should make it a 1-6 puhl for ranking or something...
I absolutely can't put Evans above Baylor, Rice or Burks. Probably not Armas either...

This is very very false, I think TBG is confusing the Evanses
Also, not to pile on, but your puhl says:
"Is Dwight Evans the second best hitter on the Red Sox in RBI Baseball?"
No stipulation of not counting PHers (not sure why that would matter, anyway).
Also it doesn't clarify NES, so the Arcade RedSox would have to be included which would push him behind Williams and Foxx and possibly others
This is the NES version, obviously. Why? Because I mention Spike Owen and Marty Barrett.
Edit: Everyone please revote, the puhl question hath changed to make more sense.
Still confused, what does "one of the best" mean, top2? top3? Am I purposely being an ass? No...

Well, the best out of the four powerhouses on the Red Sox: him, Don Baylor, Jim Rice, and Wade Boggs.

Now you're really starting to lose all credibility
I know the question was changed but it's asking "one of the best" - that's open for interpretation...
If only we had a moderator that could fix this puhl
Definitely in the top 11.

Well, Boggs' low contact rating, and he gets a home run or a possible triple or two per game for me. (as I said, the fielding AI for the computer blows ass, making some easy triples per game)
Herndon was born in 1953 not '56. Herndon's first year was '74, that would have made him just 18 if it were 1956 and he'd have played into the 1990s.
I'd have to give the best power hitter rating to either Baylor or Armas, probably Baylor, but Jim Rice is the overall best hitter on that team followed by Baylor, Boggs, and Evans.
