Title: The dream of new stadium config in RBI.
Post by: GreatScott on 11/19/06, 08:51:16 PM
I'd love it if I could change the walls in RBI stadium to make the walls deeper and higher.  Its just not that satisfying to drive the ball into the gap.  Anyone think this kind of editing is feasible?

i think at one time nightwulf said it would be fkn rediculously harder than hell to do.  however im curious as to whether or not we could at least get some advertisement sings on the outfield walls?

imagine a dee-nee sign on the wall and then have that rom put onto a cart.  maybe a hit it here or i will kill you sign.

one way to possibly do this is to edit in RBI players on the family stadium game that has 4 different stadiums.  they all seemed to have some sort of different dimensions to the outfield walls.

Putting signs on the wall in RBI wouldn't be very hard(I don't think :-\)  All the RBI teams aren't represented on FS, and changing the team's logos would be almost impossible.  I made a FS ROM a while back with RBI ratings and stats(the rest of the teams got '86 or '87 stats).  I don't think I ever finished all the pitchers, but it's something.

The majority of the tiles used to draw the outfield wall are reused many times over. There really isn't enough space leftover in the name table (if any) to add tiles for signs.

i've talked with the nightwulf in the past over pm about how to put a warning track in, but it's the same problem.  the problem with signage on the walls is that the wall tiles are the same color and actual tiles as the sky.
