I just moved down to Cali so my wife and I don't really know anyone, well we do, but I never really ask any of them to play RBI with me because I'd feel stupid, but anyways, I've been playing a lot of RBI vs. the computer, but I still find plenty of ways to make it fun, but I was thinking today about the little things I do that for some reason I get a whole lot of satisfaction out of on the game. Some of them are...
When stealing second with someone fast, the rounding of second base and forcing the second basemen to throw to third.
A simple 6-4-3 double play...never loses it's fun.
While being ran back to a base, the turning real quick towards the player running you down, and quickly turning back the other way to make it back to the base in time...not sure if that was clear, but some of you probably got it.
Throwing the ball into the outfield with my first basemen after a routine ground ball.
Turning the double play...even though there were two outs to begin with.
And then my favorite, when the computer controlled left fielder gets to a ball in the corner, and then proceeds to throw the ball against the wall, and the ball ends up in the outfield. That one still makes me do a soft chuckle every time for some reason. However it's better when you're playing with a beginner and you witness them do it, and the moment of absolute confusion on their face when it happens.
I know I'm forgetting a couple that I was thinking about just earlier today, but oh well.
These are all good things about RBI but a few notes...
- The ball must be thrown at the bleachers behind 1b after an out at first.
- Though you may think so now, the little things won't last forever. Go on a mission to find RBI partners now. I got in easily 20 RBI games a week without even trying before I got married and movedg. Two and a half years later, I haven't played an RBI game since that wasn't at a dee-nee fest or visiting a dee-nee member.

You have nothing to lose. Get new friends if you think you will be judged. Fight your fear.
Anyways, I used to love to get a grounder with my 3rdbaseman or SS, and try and make the play by running to first and getting the out without a throw.
I used to play games where all the balls I hit were opposite field. If it was not, then I would get myself out.
Computer play is okay for 2 or 3 games, and that's it. lance, start asking around for a game. Valley people like playing old fashioned things........and yes they are dependent on Bay Area capital, but in the shadows ;)
Lance, stop being a wuss. go out and get an RBI tattoo today! mkae sure its somewhere visible.
I've mentioned your tattoo to a few of my friends, who then gave me a wierd...I can't believe he is your friend...kind of look.
fuck them.....ive had fuckers tell me that they have thier kids names tattooed on them which is supposedly better...however, ive had tecmo bowl near and dear to my heart for roughly 16-17 years now......how long have those buttholes had thier kids? ;D
check and mate!
Doesn't matter what anyone thinks TBT i still love your tattoos. :-*

That's a good point there.
Alright, I'm convinced now to get a couple RBI partners soon...I am definitely missing the man vs. man RBI competition. Plus I need to make it up to the bay area some Tuesday night for Broiler's RBI competition.
