Shortly after I posted my last message today, I went to play and used the Astros and Nolan Ryan against Boston and guess what? A complete game no-hitter for the express!!! I fotographed the "news" page at the end but forgot to take a picture in the 9th inning.
The first innings I used the fastball and slider outside against all righties, and with Buckner and Boggs it was two of those inside and the 100 mph fastball outside. Incredibly, in the 7th and 8th I got 1-2-3 innings with the 8th being Rice, Baylor and Evans all grounding to 1B. The last inning, Gedman hit a fly to center (Ryan was tired, but the fastball was still 70), PH Henderson rolled to 3B and Stanley grounded to 2B to end it.
It is my 2nd Ryan RBI no-hitter, and 4th overall. My other two are with Bert Blyleven and Dwight Gooden. Later I'll put the image.
It was a perfect game I forgot to tell, and I hit 3 dingers with Glenn Davis, one with Jose Cruz.

This was clearly a dream.....
I have had a 9 inning no-no before too... Its tough though, since I don't play the computer at all.... Was this against the CPU?
I have hit 101 with the Ryan Express in the 7th inning before, and had an 11 inning complete game against a human opponent once. Mike Witt gave up a run in the first and that was it from there on out.
Yes, it was against the CPU
if you are playing the computer, I expect you only used the A button, or played with your feet...or something...because a human vs CPU no no is nothing to waste our time with.
or with the control upside down the entire time...that counts as an impressive no-no.
Anyway, saving Ryan with decent stuff into the 9th is quite complicated, specially if youre facing Boston. But I've done it against other players. Another fact is that I was a little drunk when I started the game.

Oh, well, I'm sorry to disapoint you
Do you make intentional outs to keep the game going nine? Umm, how can you not ten run the computer?
I have played controlled games where I would run myself out if I thought the hit was an out against the opponent. I made sure I kept the score low to chart my pitchers pitches and to throw no hitters of course.
Playing the computer with a purpose to work on any element of the game is always a good idea to stay on the cutting edge.
Fuck playing teh computer. Ever.

I have gone back to the Swedish snus shit. Not as messy and it keeps the fluids running in my mouth so my teeth actually stay white.
Do you smoke candy pal mals, too?

Shut up dirt. btw, do you ever stay sharp playing the computer when there are no bodies around? If I were you, I would pay more attention to my beautiful red head
wife snapper.
I don't play the computer, but I don't begrudge anybody that does. In all honesty, I also do not care about records/feats people claim when playing "vs. human" because the impressiveness of the feat is only as strong as the level of the opponent in the first place...

Well spoken.
Throwing a no no with one pitcher against the computer isn't exactly easy (it takes patience and a willingness to not dominate on offense), so lets not scare away the new guy by being douches.

I'm not saying that playing the computer is bad, it just screws my game up. If I play str8 pitch or vs. the computer for very long I become too impatient at the plate.

Has anyone thrown one without any K's. This would be swell...
Well, I played the CPU because there wasn't anyone around, but I've been playing this game almost in a weekly basis since I was 15 and I'm 33 now, and I'm pretty sure I can beat the crap out of anyone, so those comments really don't bother me.

I'm pretty sure Dryden has done this, I think using Nolan Ryan.
10 runs are not guaranteed using Houston, so I don't think his failure to 10-run was a big deal. He probably wasn't going for many strikeouts, since he mentioned that he kept Nolan with some stuff into the 9th inning (even then, it's hard to get strikeouts with no speed). I still think this is a fairly impressive feat, especially against Boston.

[shameless plug]JoeDirt is putting on a big national tournament in Ohio this summer (http://ohio.rbicentral.com/), if you would like to put your money where your mouth is.[/shameless plug]
EDIT: I just saw in your other thread that you're already aware of the tourney, so you're welcome to disregard half my post.
I found Dryden's picture:
Done on an emulator, not a NES, but still impressive, as I believe he did it without cheating.
I like how he turned it on in the 9th. Quite impressive.
Correction, 2 dingers with Glenn Davis, one with Cruz. Honestly, I didn't cheat. Here's the image:
I personally have not thrown a perfect game. It seems like throwing one verses the CPU would be a lot more difficult since the CPU won't swing at bad pitches unlike a human player.
