Its about that time of year for me to cast my vote on the Tecmo Bowl nominees to enter into Cam Allens Tecmo HOF.

LT, Bo Jackson, and Ronnie Lott were the guys who made the hall last february based off the votes.
This got me thinking, why the hell dont we do this here?
We should come up with a list of 15 nominees or so then each dee-nee who wishes can cast his(or her) votes on those nominees. Cam gave us 6 votes to use IIRC. Your top guy got 6 points, your 2nd vote was worth 5 and the 3rd was worth 4 points and so on and so on. Then he totaled em up and we took the top 3. We could do the same and vote in 3 or 4 once a year or once every 6 months.
This needs a cap for the amount of players that can get in the Dee-Nee HOF. Possibly 15 or 20. something like that.
I'd say that in the grand schem of things this would be for ATG style as opposed to str8 pitch, cause then pitchers have to be considered. However if you dont play ATG, then i guess you could just not vote for pitchers at all, or else review the stats and look at some old puhls is you so desire.
what say you dee-nee fuzzy britches? each guy could toss out 5 or 10 players names for possible nomination, then we create our official nominees based off that.
Gantry/Nightwulf....sticky this???
i remember voting for that.
i felt so important in the world of tecmo.
if this is done, it should be a small group of elites (possibly one or two from each style (gantry/rack from str8 pitch, etc.)
Word on the street is that Carl Banks and Mike Gentry will join in this years nominees, along with a 3rd as yet un-named player. Me thinks those 2 will get a few strong votes. I could see Banks getting in, but not sure about Gentry getting in this time.
you mean rbi players, not those who play the video game, right? nomaaa's response is confusing.
i say we do this. obviously some mlb HOF'ers wont be in the rbi hall of fame.... i'm thinking of boggs and sandberg.
I'm in for this as well.
yeah TBG is correct, actual major leaguers from the game...john tudor/reggie jackson/andre dawson/etc
either nommmaaaa meant the best(people) at each style get selected or else he meant that hardly anyone would get to vote(only a few people per style of rbi). either way his idea sucked. ;D
i'll fashion up a thread later for nominations.

fuck yous!
but what i was saying is that only a select few should be able to vote. i don't know how one would decide who gets to vote, but i don;t think everyone and their mom should get a decision.
My mom doesn't know much about RBI other than her nerdy son and his nerdy friend Riley love it in a very unhealthy manner.
Sounds good...when do we start voting?
I don't think we necessarily need a nomination list if we get six votes and rank them.
20 players seems like a good amount for a HOF (considering there are 160 guys in RBI).

I like this idea - there are few enough players in RBI that there's no sense limiting the pool, especially when you consider that peoples' opinions of pitchers vary pretty widely.

20 is fine for the final HoF, but I think we should enshrine them in small groups.

Agree...maybe 4 per year (or half year). Maybe once 16 are in, then change to the nomination ballot where you would need 75% of the vote.
I'm not exactly sure this makes sense
I'm in.
