My RBI tourney/college reunion preperation is coming together well. We are gathering up memorabilia and making memorabilia as we speak. What I need and cannot find is a web site that has all of Roger Clemens baseball cards pictured. Not as in like all 5 million I'm sure he has by now but say all of his Topps cards. Hey I'n not picky. Give me a Fleer or Score or Donruss or whatever. I just need one per year. I want to print them all out and do something with them. Even more difficult would be finding the same thing with Julio Franco. You don't need me to tell you that these are the only two active players and they need their tribute this weekend. They are living gods. Anyone know where I can find this stuff at online??? HELP!!!
This (http://www.hotlistrookies.com/index.php?cPath=29_52_119) might work for you. The pictures aren't too big, even fully enlarged, but it looks like they have most of his cards. That site's page for Julio Franco is blank, so you'll have to look somewhere else for him.
Hold on one frickin' second. Barns, who are you and where are you from? And more importantly, why have you and your friends not explored participation in the national tourney in June yet?!
I demand answers!
Me + Barn - No "S" at the end unless I was cloned = Byron by birth
It's all simple math really to understand who I am. Though most of the female gender that I have dated would disagree. But what do they know? They are the inferior species.
Well, the tourney I just learned about this week actually. I told my roommate about it. He was blown away and not sure what to even think of it. I think we both might be a bit unsure how hardcore this event is. Though we are fans, we are not masters of the turbo throw from the outfield and play "No balls, no wobbly slow pitches, but must be over the plate" rules. It's just all very new to me at the moment. And there's no brochure for it either.
I can be found in the north suburbs of Chicago. I hear there's a strong Chicago faction of Dee Nee around Chicago somewhere but have not been told where though. Maybe we are neighbors?
Also, who the hey am I talking to?
Sounds like barn plays slurve style
http://dee-nee.com/rbi/glossary.shtml
"Slurve - A pitching style for RBI that is growing in popularity. In slurve style (as opposed to straight pitch or anything goes) the pitcher can curve the ball, but it has to be in the strike zone. If the pitch is called a ball, the next pitch has to be thrown right down the middle. It's a nice blend of the strategy of curve with the high-octane scoring of straight pitch..."
yes. we are slurvers. we tried for real pitching and we swing at everything even if it is 5 feet wide of the plate. cussing of course follows to motivate our hitters but the results stayed the same. wiff wiff wiff wiff wiff. so, we hit reset and slurved it back up like we always do.
dirt? talk to me. work isn't interesting today for me.
Joedirt always adds an "s" to everyone's name...it's his calling card...and it proves his homosexuality
yuck. is this why he is wanting me to go to the tourney so badly?
He's got his eye on you...He's got a bit of Mississippi leg hound in him...if he takes a shine to you, best advice is just let him finish
just as long as i get to take the dam tour it's worth it.
The Columbus tourney is Anything Goes style - no limitations on the pitches you can throw, ball or strike, and you can use all four pitchers in one game if you want to (all games are single games, not series). I grew up playing Slurve, too, so I sympathize with your fear of Anything Goes. I also usually played with one starting pitcher per game, because I played series without resetting the NES.
I have not yet gone to a major tourney, because I had conflicts for the last two COTUTs (which are in Chicago, by the way, so you can at least prepare for 2008), and both Columbus tourneys have been scheduled for a time that will coincide roughly with my wife giving birth.
This site has a bunch

Barn...you still have plenty of time to get used to Anything Goes...don't be a wuss.
