It is common knowledge that Rickey wants one last shot with Oakland, but he also reveals that if he has to, he'll play this season again in the Independent League. In his words this would "be a shame," but he'd do it. Sadly, he also knows the end is near, and discusses coaching when the dream is over.
But the dream ain't over yet! Go Rickey!
If I owned a MLB team, I would certainly pick up Rickey Henderson. Think of all the knowledge he has on stealing bases, leadoff hitting....
I think he'd be a valuable asset.
yeah he could be like the leadoff hitter's coach, .... sounds familiar like vince coleman
actually the guy will probably be mid-season pick up just like the past year... he's pretty much done. what a legacy though.
