Which type of batter do you prefer to hit with and why? Feel free to incorporate which type of pitcher you maybe facing.
This was debated a long time ago, but it's a quality topic.
In my own little world--a world where curve is played--the batter wants to be the same hand as the pitcher--the exact opposite of real baseball (what, RBI isn't real?).
I do think that pitching match ups make a huge difference. Reggie doesn't scare me too much if I have a fresh Clemens on the mound, for example. Same for Rice when I have Tudor.
And to answer your last question, I LOVE the crafty lefties on the game--Tudor, Ojeda, etc. I really get off on barely nicking the back of the outside corner of the plate (to a rightie hitter)! :D
I guess there wasn't really any last question. But it still got answered and I'm not about to modify the above post.
Lefties all the way, the wind blows out to right.
Lefties lefties lefties.
really? even if you're facing a right handed pitcher? i think generally speaking, righties are better hitters--JUST because there are far more righty pitchers for them to match up against.
I think I have a slight preference toward Lefties, but I think that is just because most pitchers are Righties. I think I tend toward the opposite of the pitcher, just like in real baseball.
I like having the opposite of the pitcher. Most pitchers are righties, therefore I prefer lefties.
A solid lefty (Tudor, Nando) usually eats me up. Especially Tudor. If there was one guy I would wanted pitching Game 7 for me, it would be Tudor. Shit! New thread!
Lefty, the other side of my brain does not work to well.

Quality point...i forgot about this.
Is this thread about masturbation preference?
Nothing nicer than a right handed fastball coming at a lefty. Hanging curve is even better.
I think I honestly prefer lefty, just cuz I like the lefty swing. I could never do that.

::) We are talking about the wind shifts in the RBI field.
righty-tighty
I'm better at hitting for avg with lefties, but usually have more homers with righties.
As a straight-pitch player, I don't really have a preference. The only real advantage would be the lefty single with a runner on first.

Or 2nd. Easy move to 3rd, unless you're playing Mclane.
"Handcannon"
I have the greatest RBI arm ever!
