Title: Game 7 RBI pitcher
Post by: fknmclane on 03/17/04, 10:00:32 AM
If you were playing in the end all RBI tournament and went to Game 7, what pitcher would you want toeing the rubber?

-don't worry about what team you chose or anything.  Just pick a pitcher from anyone.
-it doesn't matter who you're playing either.  Doesn't matter who's up.  You can't choose those things, just the pitcher want with the ball.

JOHN TUDOR

This is a good question, there are a lot of guys I wouldn't mind at all (Ryan, Clemens, Blyleven).  It depends who I'm playing.  I'll go with Nolan Ryan just because I've used him the most.

Sounds better than the rubber on the camel toe.

My staff would be:
Nolan Ryan
Roger Clemens
Senor Smoke
Uncle Jesse

Since we play straight pitch the ability to throw heat is crucial because the only way to fool the batter is to change speeds.
Uncle Jesse is also a good closer because the sidearm delivery is hard to pick up if you only have one inning to face it after 8 innings of normal pitching.
