Title: Best RBI Mustache
Post by: Dill on 03/01/02, 09:41:12 PM
Just wanted to see who everyone thinks has a great RBI 1980's mustache.  I like Billy Buck's mustache.  It even looks good nowadays.   Who else?

Ho-Jo, Hendu, Gibby, Mike Witt (I'm a Witt homer).  Did Brookens have a good one?  We have to ignore Wade Boggs since he is universally hated on this fine forum.

Wade Boggs can not be considered to have a good mustache.  He undoubtedly would have major portions of half eaten chicken in his mustache.  That is an automatic disqualification.

Either chicken or the scent of Margo Adams on there.  Didn't he go on TV and admit to being a sex addict?

You people and your Boggs bashing.  As a sox fan i always loved boggs.  He was probably our best 3rd baseman ever and utilized the monster better than anyone ever has.  He always played hard and never talked shit.  He loved the game, i still remember when the sox clinched the AL east in '90 Boggs walking to the crowd yelling...."believe!  believe!".   Too many people hate boggs because he became a yankee but i always felt that his heart remained in Boston and that he will probably go into the hall as a red sox.  Now if you want to bash someone, how about Roger Clemens?  The guy becomes a complete fat-ass for the red sox, goes 11-15 and we decided that he was done.  So of course at his press conference he never thanks the city of Boston or the fans for everything but talks about how he can't wait to go to Toronto.  He gets in the best shape of his life and wins a cy young, Why couldn't he do that towards the end of his career in Boston?  Then as an extra slap in the face, He joins the yankees and says how much he loves it.  So if you need someone to rip, lay off Boggs and look no further than Clemens!!!
THE CURSE ENDS IN 2002!!!    8)

How about Rollie Fingers Mustache, even though he is on the arcade verson. You can't deny that one.

geez lips,  you should blow those up and put them up on your wall like some sort of shrine.  i think it was a requirement that in order to play during the eighties one had to grow a bushy mustache.

as for rollie fingers... anyone who puts grease on their stache needs some help.  its as if he is a century behind like those guys during the civil war... what was up with the beardstache... you know the sideburns that turn into a mustache... talk  about wrong!

Go away for the forum for a few days and I miss all these quality topics!  Don't have time to get to anything until later, but I'll throw out Rob Wilfong for the best stache...

I'm with GPines, even though he's on the Arcade version, you cannot beat Rollie Fingers 'stache :D

As always, I'm partial to the twins... but for my money you can't beat Frank "Sweet Music" Viola's.
