Title: Julio Franco with the Richmond Braves
Post by: DamnTheCowboys on 08/29/07, 11:24:52 AM
He went 1-4 last night and led Richmond to a win.    They may make the IL playoffs.   I may have to go see him play tonight and I'll let you guys know how it goes.   I will scream "YOU KICKED ASS IN RBI BASEBALL!"

Soon enough he'll be "traded to the Angels" like Corey Lidle and Josh Hancock.

Jeez, if Franco goes to the Angels, they truly are turning into the Yankees, grabbing all the old players when they're past their primes...

?

I'm not sure if you're talking about Franco being about to die, and the Yankees being like heaven, or if the second paragraph is saying that the California Angels of Earth grab old players, if it's the latter, the Angels' core has a ton of youth.

If it's the former, that's a terrible thing to say.

I think it was more just a commentary and pun on Julio's age.
