My son and I are avid RBI players, and our game has been freezing the last couple times we've tried playing. I have a heavy duty port that we added to the console that has worked perfectly for 2-3 years. Do the cartridges actually go bad, or do I need to either buy a new NES console or fix the one I have?
Thanks!
It may be a matter of the cartridge slightly shifting in the NES, we always make sure that the console isn't on the ground (usually it's on top of another NES), and out of the way of pets or people walking past.
try playing with the heater on
Our NES is freezing with no outside enfluences. No bumps, shakes or anything. It's totally random.
Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the cartridge and inside the slot?
Any other games having this problem? If not, it seems like it would be the cartridge.
Other games would be a good test...
Either way, clean off the cart with a Q-Tip and the strongest rubbing alcohol you got. Heck, I've even cleaned carts with vodka before and it made them usable...
And welcome!
