Title: Invisible Pitcher Glitch
Post by: Polish Rifle on 12/10/07, 07:56:32 PM
Today I was playing RBI vs. the computer.  I was San Fran and the computer was California.  I was up to bat first so I subbed in Aldrete for the heck of it.  Mike Witt was the starting pitcher for California but he wasn't on the mound.  Every pitch the invisible pictcher through was a ball and I 10-runned them without touching the controller.

I actually let it go for a while and ended up winning 111-0.  I tried to hit the ball but you can't see it and it wouldn't let me.  The only way I could get an out is if I tried to bunt the invisible ball.

I've seen this many a time.  This is simply the result of calling a time out and subbing your batting immediately after the screen changes (also often creates the "close pitcher" glitch)...

I ran the score up over 100 a couple of times with this glitch.  I think the next time, we want to find out what happens after 255 runs.

Best guess is that the pitcher actually moves behind the catcher instead of between the mound and the catcher
