Title: Why Baseball Stars is better
Post by: hangin slider on 12/13/07, 08:34:39 PM
After years of toying with the idea that RBI is the best baseball game of all time.  I have come to the realization that Baseball stars is not only the greatest NES baseball game, but the best baseball game of all time. Here are my top 5  reasons why.

- Better Graphics - By far baseball stars out shined with sharper colors, and better looking players
- Game play - You couldn't even dive in the RBI enough said.
- Trading - You could trade players with out editing the roms
- Create a team - You could create a team without editing the roms
- Robbing a homerun - No better feeling that being able to snatch one away.

Any comments?

Let's face it--if graphics is a part of the criteria, then no NES game is in the running.

Also, if diving is a part of game play, then robbing a home run must be, too.  You can most certainly rob a home run in RBI, by the way...ever hear of "the pull back?"

yes its been many years.  I graduated from Garden Grove and play baseball at a local JC.  Greg is doing good, he's a high school teacher and varsity baseball coach.  We were actually talking today about playing some R.B.I. again.  Our last title match was back in 2003.    :o

I played baseball with and against Greg Pines back in High School.  His father was a scout for some MLB team and we played on an all-star team together.  Did you play at GG?  I attended Damien High School and we played Garden Grove in a double header to begin the 1995 season.  I beat them in game one and I think we lost game 2.  Funny stuff...
