I just pitched a perfect game against my roomate with Nolan Ryan against the AL All-Stars. My roomate sucks, but i still think its a somewhat impressive feat.
im not impressed Gdavis. Playing against RBI amateurs is like playing against a retard, or a little kid.
If you play me, your perfect game will be over in the first inning, and before you know it, Tommy Brookens will take you into the lights in left center, a la Roy Hobbs.
Whatevah!
Talk to the hand girlfriend!
I agree with Madlock. Not impressive in the least bit. That's like slaughter-ruling the computer. Big woop.
Gdavis- Do you always play against guys who suck? You may go your whole life thinking you are a good RBI player, but you're not, you're just a pretender.
No, just my roomate sucks, and he's not even that bad, just bad compared to the regulars.
Has anyone else ever pitched a perfect game? I know I haven't, and I've played some serious scrubs. Good job GDavis...
Gdavis- in that perfect game, did nolan go the distance.
if so, how hard was he throwing in the ninth inning.
also, was your roommate blindfolded?
I've seen it done. Usually when it happened the game was over in the 1st inning.
This one went the full 9. 'Stros won 6-0. NoRy went the distance, but was clearly tiring in the later innings throwing in the low 70s...very dangerous when you're up against the AL Stars.
Gdavis- I have to say this, you are a full of shit. You did not pitch a perfect game and you probably dont even have a roommate. There is no way Nolan can go 9 against the AL all star team.
GDavis has been posting for awhile, and is an upstanding member of the dee-nee forums. He admitted right away that the person he played against sucked...
It was a simple post about a minor RBI accomplishment, he has no reason to lie and there's no reason to insult him over and over about it....
Keep it friendly folks, that's the RBI way...
youre right gantry. GDavis, im sorry.
how many strikeouts did nolan have?
I should've written down the stats but i didn't. I think it was like 10-12 Ks.
thats a good amount of pitches...did your roommate at least know to take Shroeder out?
yeah, mcgwire for randolf and franco for schroeder. He was pitching pretty well too, except for one inning where i put up a 6 spot.
i beat my 2 month old niece in a game the other day. ojeda struck out 15 and went the distance.
very impressive big apple- was it a perfect game?
Keep it up guys...You're gonna end up as Nolan's next victims.
i have to agree with gantry that the animosity has been getting a little too high. we're all friends here.
Blyleven_no_no did pitch a perfect game against me once, hence the login name, with blyleven. it was an amazing thing.
Once I actually had a perfect game going into the ninth with Jack Morris, but a routine play to second base was boinked with one out. I retired the next two batters in order, expecting to still have the no-hitter at least, but the game had counted the boink as both a hit and an error, really adding insult to injury.
Things have never been the same between me a "sweet" lou whittaker.
The above was actually posted by me. I thought I was logged in.
Serves you right Burks for Leadoff for leaving Shitaker in the game. I had a Perfecto going with Sutton last night vs. St. Louis into the 6th. I had a 9-0 lead and actually got out on purpose because I wanted to see if I could throw a perfecto with Sutton (didn't want game to end 10 run rule).
Pendleton hit a bomb to break up perfecto, no no, shutout.
I have several points to make here.
First off, a fine philosopher once said, "What's my mothafucking name????"
Blyleven_No-No. The date was February 2, 2001, 10;20 PM, fortunately we keep good RBI logs. Viola had started in game one, and the Twins edged the Astros 3-2, thanks in part to Juan "Tom" Berenguer who gave up 1 run in 4 innings of relief.
The perfect game came in Game 2, Blyleven strikes out 8 over the course of the game, game line looked like this:
MN- 2 5 0
HO- 0 0 0
Now that was against Burks for Leadoff, the current New York Champ, so it is certainly legit. Of course I threw a perfect 3 innings in dismantling Jeff 11-0 in our New York tournament, but that don't count. The issue of GDavis making a post about dominating someone who doesen't play RBI is troublesome to me. I would never do that, and I know Madlock Off The Bench wouldn't be found bragging.
For example, my buddy was in town this weeekend and wanted to play RBI, I have a strict "show no mercy" rule against people who dont play, so I scored 15 runs in the third inning en route to a 22-0 victory after 3 innings, as far as I know, a record. I didn't post that GDavis, because it is an invalid accomplishment, that's why Madlock Off the Bench was so mad.
I didn't say he doesn't play rbi, i just said he sucks. He beat me twice yesterday so he isn't a beginner. Its just that he uses the AL All Stars all the time to even the playing field.
Gentlemen-
Let's settle this on the tv screen. We need to set up an 8 team tournament. Blyleven No No has not responded to my repeated pleas. I am setting a drop dead date of tomorrow at noon for him to set up a Harlem tourney, or else we are going to have another Manhattan tourney.
I'd like to see GDavis' game in person.
As far as Gantry's poll goes, come on man. Never 2 starters (unless it goes 15 innings and both sides agree to bring in 2nd starter).
I'm game for a tourney. If its gonna be in Manhattan then Saturday or Sunday during the day is best for me.
I don't know how you could pitch the perfect game...
I've been a consistent player of RBI baseball for quite some time, and in my last three years of very competitive play at college, I've only once pitched a COMPLETE game. That was recently, with Frank Viola for all nine innings. I find it improbable to pitch a perfect game when playing an advisary of even decent gaming skill.
Dude, you're an ass. You said you pitched one complete game, therefore you know its possible to pitch a CG...so why would a perfecto be out of the question? And who said anything about decent gaming skill...the guy I played was well below average.

Are you impressed yet?

This post is awesome, I personally would also have question GDavis' sexuality

fortunately we keep good RBI logs.
I bet this is the only time in the history of the world that this statement has been written
spreadsheets are the way to go.
but a log is still impressive
