We may have converted 2 guys here at work. One played as a kid & is decent, the other, well he has a long way to go. The one with experience has played my current opponent & beat him twice in a row. I took him on today & beat him 16-4? It was close until the 9th, where I tacked on 9 runs.
He uses the pitch it 10 feet off the plate style of pitching, which I'm usually patient enough to defeat. I just lay off the pitches, including take a few strike threes if nec. By the 3rd his starter is toast. By the 8th he had to use his closer. The 9th was mine. We let him use the 4 pitcher rule, for now.
I sent him over to Nightwulf's post about pitching endurance (http://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=426;start=15 (http://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=426;start=15)), since someone (http://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?action=viewprofile;user=Gantry) hasn't put it in the FAQ yet. (AHEM! COUGH! COUGH!)
Just wanted to let you know the word is spreading, and I didn't have to make a snuff film to do it (Mel Gibson).
Mike
I think you should make a film about Nolan Ryan beating the shit out of Lou Whitaker with fastballs.
