I think these are the ones
CA - Gene Mauch
BO - John McNamara
DT - Sparky Anderson
MN - Tom Kelly
NY - Davey Johnson
HO - Hal Lanier
ST - Whitey Herzog
SF - Roger Craig
Those are all right, just double-checked with baseball reference...
Roger Craig... I have not heard that name in ages... wow!!
Roger Craig lost 20 something games as a pitcher for the Mets in their expansion year.

Hum baby!
how can we choose the AL NL all-star managers.... should they be from 86, 87 or 88?
Well if you use the 87 or 88 Actual All-Star game managers, it's going to be the pennant winners from the previous years (so guys already included from the 8 RBI teams)

That's right--you did always think that was stupid...but you were always wrong. After all, it is a part of the RBI history, right? The only "intended" cheat?

the game uses the 86 and 87 division winners. The all star teams are from 87 so it would be McNamara and Davey Johnson.
i concur, good answer
I am proposing managers of the Arcade teams, some are obvious, some are not so obvious (the somewhat better record or more popular). Note they had to manage before '86 and should have managing years after 1930 since most players are post 1930 Here are my decisions:
Braves- Fred Haney
A's- Connie Mack
Cardinals- Whitey Herzog
Astros - Bill Virdon
Cubs - Charlie Grimm
Dodgers- Tommy Lasorda
Reds - Sparky Anderson
Giants - Bill Terry
Red Sox - Joe Cronin
Yankees - Casey Stengel
The Yankees could easily have Joe McCarthy, but Stengel is the bigger name, same with the Dodgers and Walter Alston and the Cardinals and Red Schoendienst, but they are arguable.
The Giants maybe could be John McGraw, but his coaching career was like 1901-1932 which left most of his career in the dead ball area, and Bill Terry was a player/manager in real life so I like the fit.

I would have gone with Leo Derocher.
Derocher is a bigger name than Grimm, I guess, but Grimm had a lot more sucess. Funny thing was when I started to do this, I assumed the Cubs manager was gonna be Derocher, but my research led me to Grimm

I meant I would have gone with Derocher for the Giants.
