So, what does it take to be an RBI Legend? is it just every single guy in the game, or is there more to it than that?
To me, an RBI Legend is someone who had an below to average MLB career, but as soon as they stepped onto the field of RBI, became greatness.
I think that's a pretty good definition. Though there are some real life superstars like Big Reg that I would consider RBI legends also.

Correction, Mclane. I do the Tettleton on almost every pitch. Exceptions being when I am too hammered to care or when facing Jesse Orosco (out of reverence).
I think RBI Legend has many different meanings. The "RBI Legends" page was originally meant to devote pages to the big-play, small-stat players. But it can certainly extend beyond that, nobody can argue with Potatoes being an RBI Legend...

According to Gantry's definition, I think Lindeman has to be considered a Legend...that guy is aces for some reason.
Lindeman is definitely an RBI legend. Probably my favorite of the bunch. Pure power every time.
usually, when i see anyone from the rbi game in the news or whatever i always tell my friends, there's (insert Legend here), he's an RBI Legend.
I do the same thing TeddyBG, I see Julio Franco, I'll say Julio Franco, RBI legend. Will also do with Arcade players, call 'em Arcade RBI legends.

This has to be heeded ONLY for straight pitch...in curve, this is a very poor strategy--as he will be walked to get to the pitcher almost every time.
Most curve people support Lindeman in the 7 hole...but I like him in the 3 spot...nothing easy about Lindeman/Clark back-to-back and the StL line up needs every power threat it has.
I've edited Jim's page to say the seven spot. I almost always put Lindeman in for Ford, don't know why I wrote that. Sometimes I get stupid and leave Ford in for the first atbat when a lefty hit comes up, but that is rare...

Wow. Home Run Harry's stats really surprise me.
Impressive that he managed to stay in the big leagues for 12 seasons without ever playing (basically)...143 abs in one season was his career high???
Plus, I was pretty shocked to see that he played the OF only 4 times...
He has to be the ultimate small-stat, big production RBI'er. To this day there are those who don't put Spilman in the lineup full-time....
