DISCUSS!
Jack Clark is awesome. The Cards are my favorite team to use because of their speed, but that one big bopper in the middle of the order is still pretty useful, especially if you're playing slurve or straight-pitch.
Walk him 4 times a game if neccesary. Even with the bases loaded, one may still consider walking him depending on score/situation.
The link was definitely a good read, although I had to stop reading about half way through the second article (Concepcion) due to the overwhelming preciousness of the blog writing. I'm a bit sick of the style, you know? Kinda like how I used to watch the Daily Show all the time, but a little goes a long way these days.
"The dude"
He called Jose Uribe a "nondescript professional" - accurate?

Well, I suppose that's nicer-sounding than "dead guy".
Or "nondescript dead guy"
Was he a teammate of Clemens' in Boston? Clark played there one season I think, in 1991 & hit 28 homeruns.
Just imagine if he wasn't on the Cards in RBI...well they'd be just like Houston then. Glenn Davis blows......
Great power. Left the game penniless and in debt. Spent too many of his millions on cars and poor investments.
Nonetheless, it was awesome when he homered to knock the Dodgers out of the playoffs in 1985... Tom Niedenfuer was the losing pitcher, causing Tommy Lasorda to blow a gasket...
Jack Clark -- legend.
Jack Clark is the single most indispensable player on any RBI team. Agree or disagree?
RBI discussion, it's on boys!

Agree
Hard to disagree. Tudor could be thrown in there as 1b.
Well that generated the fucktrain of discussion I was looking for...

there's no way I would play Tudor at First
Really a tough call and again it depends on what style you play. Any team playing with only 3 pitchers would be at a huge disadvantage in 2SP.
I was saying if you replaced Jack Clark with the average RBI batter or whatever pitcher with an average guy, would any loss be worse than Clark? You keep the same # of players...

So you want to find out who has the highest VORP.
Well, considering he isn't well protected, you can just pitch around him.
Believe it or not, this is the Stats of an average NES batter:
AvgOfCNT AvgOfPOWER AvgOfSPEED
20.47 820.75 128.87
Now you have to tell use who come closest....
Strawberry. The only threat in the mets lineup. If he hit 3 the Mets may actually be able to score runs.

Probably Brenly or HoJo

Thank for that Big Hath. I guess competence is too much to ask from ultimate...
I know it's a couple digits, but I'm shocked that HoJo has more power than Wilfong...

Truer words have not been typed. Even batting 4th would be a huge upgrade. So many times, you just cant get him to the plate with anyone on.
I heard JoeDirt is a Hernandez fan...
One could only assume hes finally over his Scott Norwood (Bills pun intended) moment in the annals of cotut history.....
For some odd reason I can't seem to get Jack Clark to hit homers in my league.

Maybe because it's a curve league, you cant get anyone to hits homeruns in that league, LMFAO.

Lame response if you ask me because my other guys hit homers every so often. Clark grounds out a lot. He makes contact, but shows no power.
take THAT RBI GOD!
Wait a second, MR RBI and RBI GOD are not one in the same?

I can't be the only one who didn't know this. With this information and Rack's newly created Rally Gang Ranking List, my brain is going haywire.
I figured it was someone that had been there before, now it makes a lot more sense
